    as an Enfj, Infjs can absolutely be manipulated we're both likely to mask so we learn pretty early what it is and usually use it to our advantage. Also, it's a whole other thing of like knowing that you are being manipulated which is common for our types especially when dealing with narcissists as well :)

    I am an INFJ and I have been married for 50 years to an ISTJ and it has been rough. It can work but only if the INFJ keeps working at opening up the ISTJ. Of course, my husband is Scottish, so maybe the inability to talk has something to do with that.

  • @kyurei4478

    To my own knowledge, only ENFJs can really manipulate INFJs because they can get them to do anything for a good cause. There is a big miscunception from people thinking they manipulate INFJs but we're so suspicious that we don't actually expect things from people and take measures to preserve our own emotions. In actuality we give people the benefit of the doubt to wait and see if they're going to disappoint and choose to abuse us or not. It's a morality check you might say. It has no real consequences for us. They don't realize their manipulation was just a part of our own plan.

    I am an INTP female, and I rarely find a person or two with whom I can truly connect or who are more knowledgeable than me (other than my brother, who is possibly an ENTJ but has also developed his shadow functions, with both his Ti and Te being equally strong). However, one year ago, I went to an institute where everyone shared the same interests as me. There, I met an INFP girl. At the beginning, we got along well, and we’ve been friends for more than seven weeks. I believe she is probably the first person I truly consider a friend. Before this, I had friends, but I was likely wearing a mask around them. One day, I noticed the INFP talking to another girl, and for just a microsecond, I felt my blood pressure spike. My brain experienced a sharp ache, and it felt as though a green type of energy was flowing from my stomach to my brain and heart. My heart hurt-it felt almost like a heart attack. As soon as this microsecond passed, I was in awe, and my mind instantly identified the word: jealousy. It was a crazy experience for me because, for the first time in my life, I experienced this emotion So, Yeah infp seems to have a way to bring forward my emotional side without me even knowing

    Interesting observation, I never thought of that. I'm ESTJ and I understand you can go too far on scarcity (sometines you get what you pay for), but I think showing off how much you can afford is dumb. People don't think better of you because you can afford a super expensive car that depreciates as you drive it off the lot, and you "can't take it with you".

    INxJs' memory is a real enigma. I don't understand how it works myself. ENxPs say they have terrible memory but at least they have Si as their inferior function. It's INxJs' lowest function. This is why nostalgia or being stuck in the past doesn't affect them. They kinda have abysmal short term memory but quite good long term memory it seems. So it looks like Ni contains a capacity to kinda store memories just like Si. But since it's focused on the abstract instead of the tangible, I theorized that it might be a memory of ideas instead. It seems that INxJs can remember what they exactly thought at a precise moment in the past with great precision. And this would help to always keep their main vision in mind. But since Ni is mostly unconscious, it's hard to understand this memory by yourself. It pops out like a clear flashback when the situation triggers it it seems. Keep in mind that everything I said here is highly speculative but if we consider that Ni is the abstract equivalent of Si, it suddenly makes more sense.

    I just think that J types are better for work and P types better for fun. And actually there is some types of job where being fun is super important when your whole business revolves around it so P types definitely have their place somewhere. J types are just more bossy I guess. I have a personal theory on ENTJ vs ENFJ leadership and I think they make the best leaders for their visionary skills. I think ENTJs are the leaders who will impose their leadership either because of their skill or determination when ENFJs are the leaders who won't impose themselves directly but will be designated by their co-workers as their leader. If I had to resume it, I would say ENTJs tend to be leaders out of necessity when ENFJs will be leaders out of desire. This theory actually came to me by watching the movie _The Call of the Wild_ where you have a dog pack recruted to pull sleds (don't ask why). A very experimented but dominant dog is integrated into the group at some point but he's too rude. Another capable dog admired by the group ends up confronting him at some point for being too agressive in order to defend others, not to directly take the lead. But the dog group ends up electing him as their leader because they judge him as capable and deserving. By the way, if someone ever wondered how INFJs come with surprising insights sometimes, that's one of the ways we do it, by transposing a fictitious situation to reality to better understand it. For INFJs fiction isn't just for pleasure but can reveal things about our real world so we do active watching when it comes to media. It's a Ni-Se interaction that makes our speech relevant. Obviously that's just a general theory of things that doesn't take the case by case into consideration. Like it's probably possible to have a friendlier relationship with your ENTJ boss or have a colder ENFJ boss but you get the idea.

    • @kyurei4478
      @kyurei4478 4 дня назад

      By the way, as an INFJ that makes me blush a bit, not used to be in the spotlight and being seen in such high esteem. Just like INTPs I don't think we really know how to take compliments. I know MANY tend to say INTJs and INFJs can make great leaders but...I don't know. It's just too much pressure for our shoulders to know many count on us I think and we don't really deal that great with responsibilities. It takes a lot of energy we don't have because Extroverted Sensing is so low. That's why I think ENFJs and ENTJs are better suited for the job. I would easily give it to them. Funny how we work to be irreplaceable but don't really want the spotlight that goes with it. I have always seen us better suited for the advisor or assistant role to support the boss because we know they can put our guidance in practice. Also it's a great way to pull the strings without much repercussions (doesn't mean we do but we would think about this positional advantage) 😉.

    Also though, you're on the fringes of the sort of mechanical area in typology, and it's probably going to connect to a different viewpoint and perspective of typology from here. For instance, The alpha quadra is normally considered child like and cares about good will. The beta quadra are fighters. So the Fi in an ISFJ is about what they perceive good will to be along with authenticity. The Fi in an INFJ is often embroiled in what they see as a path of fights that exist that they could go down the path of towards what they think authentically is the right end point. That's what I find in it.

  • @realitiesoftypology7502
    @realitiesoftypology7502 5 дней назад

    I think you're looking towards the nature one should aim at in a critic function (perhaps, as this stuff is subjective but I don't disagree). The point I see in this video is that you want people to realize not to be too critical, because in any way which a person is too critical, they work against themself. But also, I think there is an intellectual nature to typology that this is fitting into, and I've been there, and I've seen where that goes. I want the intellectuals to honestly admit about it and just address and be in the space of feeling more often. Every time they get near something important that is difficult when in this sort of ballpark they turn to a fake usage of academia in a way where they can just say it isn't fake, but it is. They hinge it academically on feelings and they fail to grow. These things can help good natured people in good places with good hearts, but sometimes feeling should be in its absolute state as feeling.

    I look at it like this, we all have a sense of self at the core of our being that sees the same things, and we're good or bad at dealing with them based on what they are. So every type is aware of emotional things that happen or don't and then that trickles down to their personality. Every personality has limited articulations, which is why an actor that could nail some important aspect of another personality type always seems to be pretty amazing. Ever have that line that you try to say just like in the movie and you can't match it? It's a limit to your articulation, even as an ESFP. But if a person's emotional articulation is moping, rather than say they shouldn't mope, which would exclude them from addressing an important area of life, we should look more into effective uses of this mope articulation to enable them to effectively answer their deeper feelings in the outside world. It may be possible for people to meet a person halfway, and they may meet you halfway too in some areas. Together we can be more complete as individuals with help.

    I know of two people who are narcissists based on the definition of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD)- one who happens to be an ESTJ and one who is an ESFP. The ESTJ had grown up with me, an INTP with autism, so I've always felt like I was walking on eggshells with her while at the same time not being afraid to fight back whenever she was mistreating me. She always started our fights and then either tried to make herself look like the victim- which would have worked if our parents didn't know what had actually happened- or rub her victories in my face with obvious arrogance and convince her friends to join her in humiliating me- which ended up drawing our parents closer to me. The ESFP is an older woman I initially grew very close to on a personal level. Then came the day we were at a restaurant when she tried to force me to put my food in a box before I was ready to finish eating. She did this even when I respectfully told her "no" multiple times. She wasn't willing to listen to anything I had to say, which frustrated me to no end. And then she had the gall to say *I* was the rude one. My mother forced me to apologize to her- "to keep the peace", she said. The ESFP gave every indication that I was to blame for the situation escalating the way it did while at the same time saying she forgave me. It made me think she was patronizing me. But what truly clinched it for me was during the pandemic. I had sent a letter to her not long after the incident trying to explain what she didn't give me a chance to explain in person. She sent it back, not to me, but to my *parents*, as if I was an unruly child in need of punishment rather than a responsible adult who can handle rejection on her own just fine. She even insulted me on the phone when she called my mother- my mother set her straight on that one... before proceeding to rip into me with the, apparently, "unkind words" in the letter (yes, she read it). I waited 2 years for things to settle before attempting again, this time making the letter short, sweet, and to the point while making extra sure to choose my words carefully. She sent that one back to my parents instead of me, too. Then she had the gall to act like she was the victim by practically *ghosting* everyone. Needless to say, the ESFP and I, while still willing to be civil with each other, are no longer friends. And the ESTJ, while having calmed down considerably, is still as venomous as ever, but I'm learning to not walk on eggshells around her (it helps that she's not living with us anymore). I've since then learned what healthy ESFPs and ESTJs actually look like from a friend a year younger than me and a nurse who studied the Bible with my mother respectively. Both are doing their part to help me understand what it truly means to remain calm under emotional pressure. And, of course, I can't deny God's role in this. He's literally keeping me sane right now. Sorry for the long read. If you made it this far, congrats.

    I didn’t catch your opinion on ENTPs, but I laughed so hard at your intro. If I remember correctly, you’re an ESFP, which would make Fi your auxiliary function and Fe your critic, right? I might be wrong, but imagining an Fe demon critiquing you as your critic function is hilarious. I was like: “Oh god, you must’ve had a horrible time with those Fe demons…” Anyway, my sister (also an ESFP) has her best relationship with an ENTJ. My closest friend is an ENTJ too. Let me tell you about him. He’s smart, caring, and genuinely wants everyone to be happy and smile. But he’s super easily triggered and absolutely hates criticism. He’ll throw anyone’s feelings under the bus if it means avoiding being criticized himself. I think this stems from ENTJs being hyper-optimistic and potential-driven. Now imagine telling an ENTJ that their “rainbows and sunshine” mindset is actually a dreamy illusion they’ve created to escape reality because they’ve been hurt. It’s like they uphold this false reality they desperately want to be true, which forces them to deny their own feelings. That’s how you get an ENTJ personality. They want the best for everyone around them, but it’s often to compensate for the love or validation they didn’t receive when they were younger. They’ll give people emotions, but they don’t truly understand emotions themselves. They think they’re being kind, but it often comes off as insincere or transactional-like doing favors to “trade” for kindness. That said, ENTJs are incredibly smart and intelligent. But it takes a strong Fe or Fi user to really understand them. By the way, my friend (ENTJ) is married to an ENFJ (Fe dominant), and they’re really happy together!

      That’s awesome! Great explanation. That makes total sense for ENTJ!

    I’m not sure what I am anymore, and by that I mean the label. I’m very emotional, very empathic, but I’m also the type of person that’ll kick you in the butt with my straightforwardness and give you advice that you probably never asked for. I rely on my intuition, and my emotions, but it has to be logical too. I see the big picture, envision the future and plan accordingly. See, I’m a “in-between” person, literally. I’m even an Aries/Taurus cusp 😩 Fire and earth. So, I think I’m a **INFTJ**. I’m both of them. I’m also thinking that 1) None of us are that simple that can just fit the box with specific labels. Nobody is JUST this or that. We’re on a spectrum and labels may help some of us to figure things out 2) Aside from Myers Briggs, one can also be a different Enneagram type, which plays a role in how we interact with ourselves and outside world. 3) I’m also very much into astrology. It’s not meaningless. Everything is energy, and planets and the vibration of earth on the day we’re born can impact us. Anyway, I know who I am, what my strengths and weaknesses are, and tags only restrain us. We should always improve and aim for growth.

      Same. My f and t scores are always so close to the 50% mark for each. I’m glad someone has a similar experience

    Thanks for this video! I have always tested as INFJ the past 5 years, one time I got INTJ so have been looking into the differences. Edit: I'm now learning more about cognitive functions to "type" myself. Using one of Frank James video as reference to guide me!

    I’m ENTP, and my PARENT is then Ti which the INFJ are child, vice versa. I wanna say this connection is soulmates, can be in love, like siblings. There is something about INFJ and how they are able to actually formulate a future I can approach freely without losing my NE (freedom to explore). I love all my INFJ, even those I hate; I think of INFJs as phenomenal people, incredibly gifted souls I appreciate listening to as they debate themselves (I am THE debater you know) I hope that helps you understand my ENTP perspective my INJF. Now you all have a nice day!
