@@BCatOccult Thanks. I work in IT and am interested in AI (I have worked on a couple of projects using it). I'm also an amateur musician having played in many bands over the years and I do my own home recording. I find myself on both sides of the fence. On the one hand the results are amazing and very listenable, but on the other hand where does that leave musicians. It's a major dilema of AI. Both a tool and a weapon depending which end of the equation you are. Both an enabler and a threat. It's here and it won't go away and it's not even a teenager in terms of it's evolution. I love playing around with AI but if someone can produce better music than me with a few well-engineered prompts what's the point of me learning to play anything, learning to draw, learning to write, learning to act, learning accountancy, learning law etc. We've had smaller steps throughout history, from looms to spreadsheets people could run on their own computer, to sampling and (essentially) free music, so in a sense it's nothing new and all said and done humans have evolved by learning from others, essentially plagiarizing and tweaking the past. But the speed of evolution of AI and it's all encompasing scope is like all the other changes on steroids. Aggriculture has largely replaced humans with machines. Car factories still exist but now the workforce is largely mechanical. We survived these and other changes. Largely the people no longer needed for more physical industries moved to service industries and the arts. But if we only need 10% of the people currently employed as lawyers, accountants, IT workers, graphics artists, etc. where do the other 90% go? Doing what I do for a living and having the interests that I do I embrace AI but I can't say it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable at the same time. Can I ask you to put something in your description to say it's AI generated? Transparency is one of the guidelines of responsible AI. 😂
