Mourning Gecko Care Guide & Basic Information
I've done two taxidermy's so far, I did one just this saturday, why I never thought of just squeezing the insides out I don't know, that's so clever, I was pulling it bit by bit with the q-tips, what a waste of my time, thank you for that tip.
Glad to have helped. Just be gentle.
I found one.. what does it eat
They eat insects, but if youre planning to keep it in captivity, I wouldnt. They need a wet enviroment and are pretty shy animals. Not that easy to keep alive outside of their natural environment.
I bought a full set up with 6+ young mourners and it was a shambles. when i think about my experience with keeping lizards, compared to me, these RUclips videos seem so professional, unbelievable how they all manage to have the lizards lay eggs, grow and eat repashy with no problem. 🦎
Thats strange. Any idea what went wrong? These guys I find very easy to keep, basically just feed and water them, and not much else.
What are their names?
Froggo one through four. Its not easy to tell them apart, aside from one which is kinda snowflaked.
I found out my frog is a male ! He is about 3 inches maybe a little bigger should I still feed him every 3/4 days
In my personal experience, males will eat when theyre hungry. Its the females that are gluttonous, and are easily overfed. Id offer your frog food as often as it wants to eat.
Looks like a nice day for a walk. The colors aren't bright, but they are nice. - Ray 🎼
Awsome frogs great job raising them
Thank you sir!
Ive been wanting a nicaraguan for a while just don’t have money or space lol. But thats a beautiful snake she is gorgeous. Just the right length. That 6-8feet is my favorite size for a snake it just looks so cool
Thanks. I actually have a few of them. Theyre great snakes in my experience. Very gentle and calm. You definetly dont want to give them any reason to mistake your hand for food though.
where do u get ur worms from?
I buy them from pet shops. Though I dont think theyre any different from the type you'd commonly purchase as bait. As long as they're farmed, they should be safe.
@@ItsAaronRose mmm idk if i have any bait shops around me but if not is the zoomed pacman frog powder any good? ALSO thank you😁
@@penguinwithagun9869 Id not heard of this product until you mentioned it. After looking it up, I would think it would be fine, but ideally youre supplementing your frogs diet with this and still trying to provide a variety of insects if possible. Products like this are usually supposed to provide an overall balanced diet, so would imagine it would be sufficent to keep your frog fed, but dont think its ideal, as frogs dont eat paste in their natural environment..
@@ItsAaronRose ahhh okay ill get both then just to be safe thank you tho this was very helpful
We met Stan but you didn't introduce us to those fuckin Pythons 💪💪
Loll
Thinking about getting one. Helpful video! I’m putting it in a 5 gallon and I will try to get a male since a female may outgrow the tank.
Glad you found it helpful. Good luck with the pacman frog - you'll do great!
@@ItsAaronRose thanks!! I can’t wait to get it
Nice video guys❤❤❤
Thanks.
😮 Big is'nt it! - Ray 🎼
Not fully grown!
Really beautiful tarantula! Fatty spood!
Thanks! 😄
What a beauty. I think the greater danger when handling is not that they bite out of fear or defense, but that they bite to hold on because they find the ground unsafe. the so-called dry bite
The change your eyes cute 🥰🥺🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😊 i want to pet five treasure the tiger ready when black knight water an angel
I mean, well, I don’t like spiders. They just creeped me out and some of them are venomous and you might get bite that one but if I was a professional I would
It has happened yet, but Im sure one day I will get lucky.
A tarantula bite is no worse than a bee sting (With a few exceptions)
👍🏻 - Ray 🎼
I love Scorpions, and Emperors are my favorite!
Me too!
The fish were really beautiful too.
That ocean view is amazing
Thanks man. One of the best videos yet while researching Pac-Man frog care.
Much appreciated!
Is this a Boa Constrictor?
Yep!
👍🏻 - Ray 🎼
My Pacman frog accidentally swallowed some water when I was feeding him I found out he was a boy will he be okay I’ve seen people say they could die but he’s been acting fine this was like a week ago
Lol, Im sure he will be fine!
Mf is not happy lmao cutie
Toads always look grumpy 😊
please don't come back
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Beautiful
It was an epic trip! Had so much fun! Hope Julien got to watch this 😂
Lolol. JULLLIIAAANNNN!!
The only thing I disagreed with about this video is the plants. Come on brother, simulate their natural environment. Hidey holes, plants or something to help em find cover and be ready to ambush.
I use plants with other frogs - not Ceratophrys. They will destroy the roots with constant digging. They bury themselves and do not require any additional hiding places. Theyre simple animals, and in my opinion decorating their environment is more for aesthetic and enjoyment of the people who own them. They dont really get anything out of it themselves. Not sure what your experience is with these frogs, but I can tell you that the first one I ever owned, I built an elaborate setup for, bioactive with plants, running water and a pond. It ended up being about a $200 enclosure for a $30 frog. The frog destroyed it all within 2 days. Never bothered with this again. I talk about bioactive setups in some of my other videos, with animals for which theyre more suited.
I haven’t got one yet but is a heat lamp good
I wouldnt recommend it. Youre much better off, and safer to use a heating mat attached to the side of your tank. Its also cheaper and easier than replacing expensive bulbs. Heating bulbs could cook your frog. They dont need a hot enivironment - just a warm and wet one. If your room is already warm, you may be fine without either.
They think they’re old worlds lmao 🤣
So angry. all I wanted to do was cuddle.
Boring !!! By min 10.30 it gets interesting and informative

Glad you found this!
Do I just let them dry at the air?
Yes, just keep it dry to avoid attracting flies and rotting. Using alcohol and properly removing guts is the most important factor. If you do this correctly, there will be nothing to attract flies and will dry out at room temperature within 2-3 weeks depending on its size. Message me on IG if you need help: @ItsAaronRose
What about the clay pits/ swimming hole
Based on what I saw, most likely houses built on this spot. Hard to pinpoint where that is, because the path that lead to it run intos the suburbs. Think it would be unrecognizable.
Is it ur pet?
I sold him awhile ago, but yes, it was.
Such underrated creatures 💕🥺
Theyre great pets!
GORGEOUS SHOOTING ❤❤😊
Appreciate it!
@@ItsAaronRose 👍🏻
Was that your ow!
Yeah it got me
Drinking alcohol isn't a good idea either but can still be fun.
Lol. Id take the booze over the toad, but if you decide to try it, do let me know how it is.
How often have you gotten bit feeding with fingers like that
It has happened a few times.. It doesnt hurt, but its difficult to get them to let go.
So I’m getting ready to get some of these geckos and I’m wondering, what kind of lighting do I need? My room is warm during the summer and gets cold during the winter. Should I get heating pads?
If it gets cold in the winter, I would definetly get some source of heat in order, but these animals are very easy to keep. They do well at room temperature (65-75), so assuming you can just turn on your heating, they may be fine without an additional heat source. They also do not techically require any special lighting, but should have a 12 hour day and night light cycle. Ive personally fou d that they seem to breed better when kept in a planted vivarium with good humidity, so in that case youd want UV - but more for the benefit of your plants than the geckos. General rule of thumb is that UV, if not essantial, can probably still provide benefits and make for a more natural environment.
