We just did a shop there, too. Gotta agree their prices are great. I loved it, and plan to return. the 5 hour drive from Memphis is a bear, but worth the trouble.

Question...Are you 1.3 certified? In the U.S., does having the display class, 1.3 certification (sorry I might be calling it the wrong thing) allow you to legally _manufacture_ big shells? I know it permits you to buy, store and use professional fireworks and I know there's about 1,000 different regulations surrounding what a professional must do, but I'm curious if it allows building the big stuff, too? Also, I'm not talking about manufacturing for commercial purposes, it's more like "what if a professionally licensed pyro decided he/she wanted to, as a side project or hobby, build a really big shell over the course of a few months or a year or so?" Of course launching it would be the goal. Thanks!

I went there for the 1st time in June of '24. Looked at their prices online and decided to make the 10 hour round trip. Their prices are what are shown in vid. When I walked in a lady ask if I need help and I just handed her my shopping list. She grabbed a cart and was off through the store. Some of the wholesale things I wanted were outside in a warehouse. I just waited by the cash register as she piled up my goodies. 200 gram cakes, 500 gram cakes, some cases of mortars and some fountains. Spent about $700. My 4 door truck was stuffed. The only opening was the driver seat. I was in the store maybe 15 minutes and was back on the road. I'll be going back in June to stock up again!!

This is an excellent video and the impetus for me making a 12 hour drive each way. While there, I met a couple that had driven 7 hours. I talked to the owners about this video and they said many customers mentioned it as the driving force for their trip so kudos to you, NorthSide Pyro. Normally, I drive 2 hours each way to the closest firework stores and spend about $300 annually. The prices at this store are 50-60% less than what I usually pay. To justify the trip, I purchased a 12+ year supply and visited before the January 2025 10% tariff on Chinese goods kicks in. Pricing, selection and service were amazing! Only open Saturdays during the off season. I also stopped at Warrenton Fireworks (10 minutes west and well worth the trip), to fill the little remaining space in my SUV. Warrenton's prices are about 10% higher but still awesome and offer a great selection.

Where would I go if I knew the specific types of shells I wanted, and did not desire to buy assorted packs? For instance, if I am designing shows with exact colors and styles where I want all red, white, and blue fireworks, and certain salutes, etc. How would I go about ordering exactly what I need from xyz manufacturer?

That Japanese snowflake shell and those Maltese ghost ring shells are amazing as with all these shells! The Italians can make some very nice Stutata multi-break shells as well.

Your average city show on Independence Day or New Year's has mostly 3in 4in and 5in at the most 8in. You almost never see larger in the U.S. unless it's a competition or festival. Most cities have bans on shells over a certain size 8in can only be used if you have the room. On a barge usually. Cause lager shell especially salute shells. 10in-16in must have over a mile of exclusion zone. 16in is the largest they will ship here. Plus, the large shells are 10 times as much each. Think about $1000 a shell or more. And plan your show...... Lots of smaller shells impress most people. I wish we had the firework culture of like Spain or Japan or Italy. Hopefully one day.
