Something to add, opioids and opiates release dopamine into your brain once you take them so long your brain quits producing as much dopamine and so when you make the decision to quit it really messes with your brain and can take months for your brain to start producing the right amount of dopamine again. So you end up going back to the drugs to make you feel good. Thankfully there are clinics for that and they can help you get through that!
