I think halo has a beacon you carry to do this but I do not have any firsthand knowledge on that as we’ve not used it for this functionality yet

Well, it works for us and solved a problem that a fence a traditional training didn’t…worth it in our case

We have not had that issue personally, The doors seem to seal up properly, but since they are tied together I could see the mechanism getting damaged if it was mishandled, but we have been using this since the video posted about 6 months ago and use it 1-2 times a week for various purposes and it has been a great unit for us. Good luck no matter what you decide!

I strongly disagree…. It’s a great product.

Yes, kinda they give you beacons that are like Apple AirTags and they make a radius that activates to collar, so you can put one on the counter or couch to teach the dogs not to jump up on things, but it’s not really as effective as the gps fence feature

It has about a 10 ft warning zone before the boundary 40ft might work but may be to close, check out their website and ask support directly

Yikes if you think that collar is expensive you should might rather consider a guinea pig or gold fish...As vet bills are Y I K E S.....THEN DONT FORGET PET INSURANCE TO BOOT

I agree it’s not cheap but the app and hardware make it worth the cost. We have a dog that if she clears the fence all training is out the window she is GONE true runner… I bought it twice and returned it before opening the box wrestling with the price…. I bought it again after our last “runaway” adventure and actually used it….. it is hands down worth every penny

I had a really hard time with the price, but after my 4th time chasing my “runaway” dog for an hour after she got out it has been worth it….. No amount of training will calm that dogs need to run if she is free… it’s just I her DNA, but the HALO, keeps her safe and at in the yard

I disagree about dogs dna to run free. I had a dog that would never listen. I mean never listen to anything and would run, even if you would try to give him treats, he was skiddish and would take off. Caught him one day. Started personal training for 2 weeks. Bam. Best dog ever!!!!! Trained and on point with commands. Even got him comfortable being in the water, which he used to dislike. ​@SavingBenjamins

Glad you had success, Every dog is different Ours is a textbook good dog inside of a fence, will respond to commands and is a great dog, very trainable, also great on leash, however once outside of the fence and off leash, reptile brain kicks in and she is gone running as fast as possible, will ignore ALL commands and will not be bribed with food or treats, freedom is too sweet and will actively keep 10-15 feet from you so she can’t be caught And she has 5 acres of fenced land to run on normally so it isn’t for a lack of space to stretch her legs…. After multiple times chasing her for about and hour until she gets tired, enough was enough It just isn’t worth the risk of her getting out and getting hit by a car or lost. We have tried owner led training and professional trainers.. the halo is the only thing that has consistently kept her safe from running off. Every dog is different And Halo is not a good fit for every dog, for mine it absolutely was

I did but I find just doing a self clean every 3 months and wiping it out worked better

A lot of tech in these things once you see what they do and how they work, it makes sense For me it has been money well spent.. I was at the lake with family and was alerted my dog had jumped the back yard fence, halo gave my dog feedback and he went back inside the front yard boundary and sat in our front porch until we came home. So it has been worth it

You can physically walk around while holding the collar and having the app in your phone and drop points as you walk versus doing it using the map and the app, I did the same thing works great

From my experience if the “gps fence” is set up it will keep protecting, but without cell service it can’t send the notifications to the phone UNLESS you are in bluetooth range then you can still have 2 way communication with the collars, as far as loosing a phone, it is a app with a cloud based account so you would need a new device and just log in to halo app and good to go

It worked on my phone but it wouldn’t connect to The dongle on my Xbox
