My issue with Souther is that the series really deflates his presence by stating that Ken is stronger than him, meaning that the only thing making Souther a threat is his secret immunity. While the rematch is fantastic, a lot of tension is lost, since Raoh and Toki are right there, meaning that they can clean up if Ken gets in trouble. After Ken figures out Souther's secret, Souther seems unbothered and reveals his ultimate technique, which is...kind of underwhelming. After massive buildup, Souther just gives Ken a small cut on his shoulder. Worse yet, Raoh feels the need to tell the audience that the match is over before Ken even starts fighting back. At the end of the day, it's arguably the best fight in the series, but Buronson did everything he could to mess it up.
It's definitely my second favorite arc, after the Nanto Goshasei arc. The one that introduced Juza, who is my favorite character, had the best fights against Raoh, Kenshiro used muso tensei for the first time, and had the biggest plot twist in the entire franchise involving the Last Nanto General. For me, this was the pinnacle of Hokuto no Ken.
@@babysinclairfan Raoh only says the fight is overe after Ken hits his opponent to the point that he cant jump anymore. His technique could have killed Kenshiro.
Harry Drake raoh wouldn't have defeated him he would've straight up killed him! Just think...if that crossbow wasn't there the whole series would've ended there..
I have the Malay made dvds of HnK Raoh Gaiden 1 and Yuria Gaiden, since they were one of the first to sell the DVDs on ebay. Their crappy mistranslations called Souther two names: Asher and King Sauce. I think King Sauce was the better name of the two. "Ore wa SAUCE!!"
So I just hopped up on the chair with my arms held up to the sides and shouted " NANTO HO-OH KEN NO OUGI!!! TENSHOU JUUJIHOU!!! " And... apparently that's why I didn't get hired. >___>

Ken s'est fait écraser par Souther dans l'épisode 62. Même Raoh était inquiet de l'issue du duel et n'a jamais osé l'affronter. Sacré personnage !

Souther wasn't the strongest villain in the franchise. But he was the best. Souther Arc was the pinnacle of Hokuto no Ken.
It's funny how despite the fillers, that arc was better in the anime than the manga version.

The original geese
Kenshiro:Why won‘t you die?! Souther:My body,son!It ignores your Hokuto Shinken skills!You can‘t hurt me,Kenshiro!
That's Golan Army theme but they used it for Souther too

Souther is one of the most badass Hokuto no Ken villains and his theme is clown music. Yep.
Golan theme
Actually the circus music was created as a march for war. But later they ended up using for circus.
idk it sounds like when an army/military appears on anime was like this
Golan army in manga
Holy troops
Long live Golan, the God's Army! We are one with our god, and we will carry out his orders to build a new world!

Don't forget Shin. Raoh would've too if Rei hadn't shot him in the leg.

And Shin.
Shuu also defeated kid Ken, and Yuria also defeated Ken (on the bed).

The OG Geese Howard, you mean

"I am the Nanto Holy Emperor, Thouzer! I will not retreat! I will not die! I will not show remorse! THE EMPEROR WILL NEVER FLEE!!!!"
Fitness boxing had an interesting translation. The dialogue was changed to "I will not retreat, regale, nor ruminate"
NOT EVEN THE KING OF NANTO KNOWS THIS STANCE. NOBODY KNOWS.

Well, his name is literally Salza.
@dark7element That was indeed what I would have aimed for.
@Masutora Well of course. Your boss was afraid you would enslave everyone in the company and force them to build a massive pyramid.

Certainly this wasnt the only reason.
@ZineappleVids Da Ga, Ore ha SEITEI SAUZAA! KIKARU, KOBIRU, KAEMINUUUUU!
@dark7element Totally agree there :)
Souther. Easily the second best villain of the series after Raoh.
Your idea is wrong. RAOH respect SOUTHER becease roah his not (inheritor)
