I'm aware. Some states allow athletes in that grade to compete in HS sports. For simplicity, everyone old enough to race 3000m in Junior Olympics is included in performance lists.

Thanks. That's why we edit & post them. All the other judging centered videos only deal with elite athletes, 1% of the population, and judges seeing the beginners, youth & masters have nothing to go by for seeing the mistakes these athletes make.

@@HSRaceWalk Yes and this is really good for training because there is a wide range of abilities all in one race.

The girls, all but 2, have regular competition during the track season to get race ready. The boys are lucky to get 2-3 races at all before nationals.

Trying not to address individual athletes because there is another site that does and the athletes don't like it, but in this case I will. From the judging, this athlete got some paddles, but no red cards. There were 2 others in the race who got more judging attention, but the limited aspect of this viewpoint makes it hard to make decisions on legality. From the video perspective, this camera angle is tight and the lens is a bit flared, almost like a fisheye lens on an slr type camera. Distortion occurs on the edges of the frame, to make things look a little "off". All depth perception is lost on video, so some things are misrepresented to the eyes as a result and this is why video is not used for judging purposes, but educational reasons only, which is the reason I post these compilations. To educate and help increase awareness without naming names, causing stress and possibly mental health issues for athletes out there doing something they care deeply about.

@@kamilsoltysiak4249 The flexed knee is 1 of the things that makes running different than walking. It adds extra propulsion force in the stride too. That's why we don't allow it.
