Thank you for covering such an obscure show. It has a very small fanbase due tothe obscurity. Your guys commentary on the strangeness of the characters, discussing possible writers intentions for Wayne and Lucien and the world they live in was very refreshing. Also talking about the context of it being pre-9/11 show made by a UK creator was quite interesting and new for me. Interestingly, the creator, Brian Wood has a short film titled Mr. Jessop which feels like a critique of the fast pacedness and unpredictability of a modern society. The fact that the creator Brian Wood produced such a short leads me to believe that his cartoon intentionally did critique some of the things mentioned in your guys episode rather than it being unintentional or a coincidence. The show was strange indeed!! It had so much going on. Wish cartoons these days still were allowed to be that strange, haha

For half of my life, I thought I was the only one willing to defend 'The Cramp Twins'. Whenever I see it brought up online, I noticed the majority would call it "boring" or "vile". But I for one must ask if it's really deserving of such hate. I'd go so far to say that The Cramp Twins wasn't really bad, people just didn't appreciate it at the time. I"m not saying they have to like it, but I believe there's so much more to it than it's given credit for. And another thing, people hate on Wayne for being an a**hole, even though there is a president for jerk characters on TV (animated or otherwise). The point I'm trying to make is that if we're more accepting of cartoons with underlying narratives and commentary on certain topics; it's possible The Cramp Twins would've been more relevant now than ever. If there is one major problem about the series, it's that I'm disappointed it never had a proper conclusion. I firmly believe it's not the show or the creator's fault! They pulled a "Hail Mary", but it never came to pass. I still stand by the show for what it is, but it should've gotten a revival during the late 2010s. When many cartoons got the chance to have their closure, I don't understand why Wayne and Lucien's story should be the exception? I still commend this show for being its own thing, and having its own distinct style. Art wise, it's better to bring variety to the network's repertoire; than to conform to the style of others. While I wish that the series does get the closure it deserves, there's something I take consolation in. If I have made more people aware of these technicoloured twins, if I have them see it in a new light even. Then I know that I've at least made a difference. #bringbackthecramptwins.

Moxy is NOT the first original cartoon network show. That credit actually goes to ToonHeads, which is another rare anthology series and one of the longest running originals. I'd like to see you guys review that one.

And I believe in borderlands 3 Mr torque gives you a mission to blow up the ocean, a reference to the cheat commandos

Stationary images that stay on your screen for a long time can cause the image to burn into the screen, as in you may see the checkered pattern permanently floating over the left half of you screen even after the phone is turned off.

I loved Mike, Lu, & Og when I was younger but I haven't seen it in a long while so I don't know how it holds up ... Also, yeah I caught it on Boomerang. I honestly love older shows so that was where I saw a lot of my favorites (like the classic Hanna-Barbera shows).

I don’t use this account often, so I just wanted to come from Twitter to say that I really enjoy your videos, including this one. What I really like about them is how often you insert your background experience with said topic, as well as what mindset you were in when it first came out. It adds a lot of context and flavor to your video essays, but not in a way that makes it feel drawn out. This could just be because we both have similar backgrounds in where we were during the 2000s, but I digress. Still trying to get through your podcast series since I only primarily use Podbean, but I hope you make it big one day.

I only ever remember this show for the Secret Squirrel parts. The rest of the show I can say it was cute, BUT IT'S WRONG!!!!

I definitely understand why you guys would dislike this special but the opening makes it clear that their relationship is clearly flawed due to both of them. Fred is definitely more exaggerated but Wilma is also making harsh comments and impersonations as well. As for the characterization of Fred himself, the staff on the film based it off of the earlier episodes of the original sitcom (Barney’s voice is super different, Fred’s a huge dick) but I do think they definitely went overboard in that latter regard in some places though. The special is supposed to take place before Pebbles and Bam-Bam were born. The “no woman in the room” comment is crazy to me because female writer and cartoonist, Cindy Morrow storyboarded and wrote on the special alongside her husband, Clay Morrow. As for the racism stuff (obviously poorly-aged), Fred is clearly supposed to be ignorant and in the wrong, the Bartender even makes fun of him as the closing joke. Chris Savino is a horrible human being but I clearly can detect obvious bias towards him in this that shouldn’t be there when judging the special standalone.

I hope you talk about boyz on da run eventually. Thought the premise of a boy band being hunted down for lip syncing their songs was funny

I like King Crab, but it’s unbelievably light on story and also unbelievably dark + mean. All of which are “issues” in Wray’s R&S directed episodes (which he doesn’t look back to fondly on) despite the fact I like most of them. Also, Bill’s style is absolutely amazing in my opinion, he had a Twitter account where he posted art a while ago and a lot of that stuff is absolutely gorgeous.

I'm so glad someone is finally doing a podcast like this about Cartoon Network! If you end up doing What a Cartoon, you should get the guys from the What a Cartoon podcast to guest! Either way keep up the good work 😎
