Padmé was the only one who tried to get anakin to turn back to the light and was the only character that never wavered in her principals during the prequels and clone wars. She also wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty and would go into a fight as seen in TPM and AOTC despite being one of the weaker character (not much combat experience or training and no force abilities) Leia was the smartest person in the OT crew and pulled her weight in escaping her own imprisonment, immediately saving han, luke and chewie after getting her out of her cell. And again she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty Rey is literally a god, able to do everything everyone else does but better. Better shot, better pilot, better duelist, better planner, better jedi Ahsoka is one of the best characters written in the last 50 years. I don't mean female character, i mean characters. Starts off immature but grows and takes on the best attributes of a anakin and obi wan while not sharing their flaws If by "patriarchal" she means there are men, then she's right. If she means patriarchal the way it actually means, she couldn't be more wrong

Anyone else feel like the Rogues are always done dirty in adaptations? These Rogues aren’t very good. The DCAU Rogues aren’t very good, minus Trickster. The Arrowverse Rogues never really got to form, despite many of the individual Rogues being pretty good.

Star Wars was patriarchichal… yesss, yesss. It was primarily about a father and son. Doesn’t mean it was devoid of strong women. In fact both Leia and Padmé were shown to be great and powerful leaders. Especially Padmé in Episodes I and II. Far stronger than Mrs. „I have my lesbian witch coven“ over here 😅 I think The Acolyte was actually alright. But the marketing and these kinds of statements were so odd and off-putting at times. Would have liked to see the show continue, especially, since now everything is just kind of up in the air and unresolved. Oh, well.
