I was a 90s kid who went to church, and I remember my pastor barely even knew what Pokemon was despite some of us kids having the games and merch. The man didn't care at all. He saw it as nothing more than a fun hobby that will rot your brain without moderation.

Objectively speaking, Pokemon is satanic. They're literal monsters, Gamefreak and Nintendo literally do hate their consumers with it bringing out the worst in us when we argue and fight over it in debates that's broken out among communities, and Kadabra literally has a satan star on his forehead and uses satanic psychic powers to destroy his enemies.

Yeah, that is probably a protestant thing, here in Spain there wasn't much backlash against Pokémon if there was any at all, and then in 2001 or around it the Pope stated that Pokémon was a good game that promoted christian values of friendship and team work. And here banning trading cards in schools is pretty common, because every year or 2 there were crazes with new cards, on top of the ever popular football cards, but that is another thing.

Finally someone who doesn't crap on Kieran. His character is genuinly awesome, but too many people are too self-centered to understand that he may have a point, and that just because he goes against you doesn't make him a bad guy. Well he sure isn't perfect, but that's what makes him feel real. But I think that the story lacks one big thing. An alternate path. If we had the possibility to not lie to Kieran (something we should have had), then maybe Carmine would take over the BB league instead, and we could explore her toxicity and insecurities too. Also she would be a perfect match to Pecharunt, since's toxic and overcontrolling with Kieran, while Pecharunt is a Poison type and controls people. It's literally a perfect match. A match made in Heaven... or Hell, as I like to say it.

I am sorry to make this a seperate comment. The reply button isn't working. Also the claim of Pokemon channeling through power sources or whatever is also false. That only happens in the card game. The card game is important, but it isn't the main of the franchise. That is the video games. The power sources are the energy cards. That is a blatent ripoff of the mana in Magic the Gathering. Magic the Gathering is in a wierd middleground. It came out when I was a little kid. I was around, but I was way too young. I got into it way later, and now I am a huge fan. Magic the Gathering could have gotten a huge backlash considering its subject manner. Fortunately it didn't. The whole mana thing in the game is fine. It is involved with the best reasource mechanic I have seen in a game. The flavor is about magicians getting thier power from the land. Different kinds of magicians are attuned to different envionments. Again this is something that does resemble Paganism a lot more than Satanism. The Green card in particular go all out on the Paganism and tree hugging. That is the color of shamans, druids and wood elves.

I had some christian friends who were religious and their family honestly thought what Phil and Stephen said sounded like the insane ramblings of madmen who just wanted to make a media look bad, despite the it being a fictional media. The Sinnoh region has my favorite soundtrack out of all the Pokémon games, I just love how it sounds. Scarlet and Violet also has an amazing soundtrack. And don't even get me started on the Mystery Dungeon soundtracks, Pokémon just has a history of amazing music and I love the music from all the games.
