What are do youbhave?
Transmission fluid can handle that it won't get break down to carbon until about 315F
@@hwazzeygaming8557 CVT fluid doesn’t have the same properties as regular transmission fluid. If you take a CVT to 315F it’s already cooked.
Great rig! haha, Hrspwrs! get it! Enjoy the drive sir
The CVT is just fine....monitor temps, use the best fluids and change it according to driving style
@@ryanhill7318 Never had any cvt issues with the vehicle. The engine needed rings at 200k though so i traded it in.
Any rubbing issues with the 235/55/17?
@@paulcapinas81 No rubbing issues on stock suspension or with a 1” lift
Thanks for the video. I have a 2010 Outback that I would like to install this in. Mine actually has a oil cooler mounted in it already but it's definitely too small. Can I just use the original lines and route them up to the new cooler? then it should work fine I was thinking?
looks fun, im excited for you and all your adventures with it tim.
Got something that I can trust long distance now, so I’ve gotta make it up to Colorado!
35 lbs :) ....give them to my 500 hp SAV, it will chew and spit them with a weight of 25 lbs in no time. :)
I have noticed more fuel consumption with these tires
Not tryna be a hater but the "boxer rumble" comes from having UEL headers on the boxer engine! I'd still love to hear your sound
It’s always sold out! 🤦🏻♂️ 4/2024
Thanks for the review. Im thinking about picking up a set. I have a Forester, i wouldnt mind taking it on a hunting trip once a month or so. Not really offroading, just dirt roads with some potentially sharp rocks and a few inclines/ up hills. I just want something with a tad more aggressive tread, and a bit thickier side walls.
We just started stocking and selling these tires. I can say they look great, It has a stout sidewall for only being a 2 ply. The tire is made in the USA in TN by Nokian, They use the same green casing for the Patagonia that they use in their Light truck line. I'm actually waiting for a set to be shipped for my Tacoma. The owner of the company I work for put a set of 255/55R18 on his Honda Ridgeline and he loves them.
Is your outback on stock suspension? I am looking at getting a set of these tires but in 235/60/R17. I was wondering if I could put 235/65/R17 on my car with stock suspension and mud guards. Thanks!
I had these on stock suspension with no rubbing but I did have to remove the mud guards for that.
@@realrigsrattle8829 Got it. Thank you for the info!
vs hankook dynapro extreme???? or wildpeak at3w/at4w? mostly city highway and 10% offroad snow mountain driving? 2006 mdx
Dynapro Xtreme is what is changed them out for! I did a day in the snow last month and had zero traction issues. Snow was older and about 10 inches. They’ve drastically improved my fuel economy. Averaging 21 mpg now.
Okkkk nice to know!! As I absolutely need something like this!!!! BUT WHYYYY DID U NOT TURN IT ON AND DEMO IT!!!??? I MEAN U SHOW US THIS BUT U NEVER EVEN TURNED IT ON!!!??? OR USED IT!!!??? U DIDNT BATHE UR DOG!!?? OR DO SOME DISHES!? OR WASH UR??? 4W?? CAR?? I see a hatchback so Car!? So like a person living off grid needing a portable shower or dog shower washer etc...!? I MEAN THIS WOULD TOTALLY BE FREAKIN GREAT FOR BATHING UR DOG UR SELF UR DISHES!? Would be great off grid or camping or even if u need to do something very far from ur home ur hose hookup barn etc!? BUTTTT LUKE WHOOO DOESNT WANT TO SEE IT WORK RUN BE USED ETC! WHO DOESNT WANT TO HEAR IT RUN SEE IT RUN!? I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED AS I WAS EXPECTING THIS
How the hell do make a set of tires last 3.5 years😜
Using the tires for its purpose all terrain not on payment believe me you won't make it 2 years if is your daily on all terrain
helloo, does it slow down your acceleration or speed on highway because its a bit heavy?
Doesn’t affect highway acceleration but does slow down off the line acceleration.
If they had a 3ply sidewall I'd have bought them. But I'll stick with my Kenda klever RTs for now
What are you getting next?
Would this work great for cleaning ac and evaporator coils?
Excuse my ignorance but why does the heavier weight matter? I'm thinking of putting these on a brand new Crosstrek to eliminate the need for winter tires. I only drive 11-12k miles a year but live in Vermont: mountains, hills, dirt roads and of course snow!😂
Poorer fuel economy and loss of power. It takes more for the engine to move a heavier tire, but that seems to be exclusive to the 235/65/17 that I have equipped and may not be the case with all sizes Falken offers
Doesn't make a difference on my ram 5.7 It's Because youve got them on a tiny car
@@manicmodels3593Sick, your ram can’t go where this tiny car can go
@@ninetytwodreams like where? Tiny parking spots?
Are they really that heavy?
In the 235/65/17 size yes.
@@realrigsrattle8829 what you got after that? Felt the next one was a better tire for your application?
I have 265 65 17 I've never had a problem with them besides the fuel loss on my xterra 😂
Yeah that seems mad, I swapped my KO2s out for AT3Ws in 215/70r16 & the worn out KO2s where noticably heavier. AT3Ws I'd say where comparable on gravel & mud, but substantially better on wet roads.
@BluTrollPro at3w stink in the Mudd but rain ice and snow I've never had a problem with them
You shouldn't buy 3pms signed tire like this, in Arizona. Tnx for video
Except the top half of the state gets snow. So yeah, if you drive there you probably should.
Could I connect a pressure washer to it and make it run more power
No. I don’t think so
Way to not actually show the tire...at...all!!!
Hi this was taken over a year ago and they didn’t have the tire on display at the time of filming.
@@realrigsrattle8829 the guy literally has his hands on it.
What are your thoughts on Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015?
I’ve heard they’re very quiet and deliver good grip on dirt, rock, and sand but fail in ice and mud. Also they do have durability issues when it comes to punctures and sidewall slashes. They’re good for 95% highway 5% off-road.
I dropped 3 MPG They hum with no lyrics as well. NO HELL NO
Looks like Kevin Lendermans old trooper
In your video u said u got 22-23 MPG. But u said the fuel economy took a hit. So what did it drop to after u put these on? And what do u average now ? I am torn between these and the AT3 in the 235/65. I was gonna go with these but saw they are 5 pounds heavier than the AT3. So do I think the AT3 will get better gas mileage since they are lighter ?
I average 18 now. That’s also with a roof rack as well.
@@realrigsrattle8829 wow it went down a lot.
how about the Nokian Outpost?
I honestly have no experience with them.
Iam lookin to change tires in my maverixk 224 65 r17 stock atr pireli , and just looking for something like that but.... attrail in 235 65 r17 are 35 lb, instead of the lightest 31.1lb of 235 65 r17 at3 falken more agressive. In toyo 235 65 r17 are 34!...same weight as falken trail , so weird enought a more agresive all rounf tires is in fact the more of roady falken at3....i will go there from 225 pirelli. Ps. I have forester xt 2015 i wanted to by in those years de geo 015 are lighter more road oriented but with 3psf ...but wnded with latitude cross michelin in 235 55 r18. Awesome tire. Saludos chile
I need help figuring out a bigger tire for mine any Recommendations for a stock lift?
This Trooper isn’t mine. Sorry🥲
I have 34.8 on mine 3inch lift
Got this and a composser for a father's day gift can't wait to use them
How are these compared to maybe the Firestone Destination AT? Road noise? Road noise after 20,000 miles?
I have no personal experience with the Destination AT but the Destination is less of an all terrain tire than these. However I’ve had no additional noise and I’m closing in on 35k on the Wildpeak.
These are going for $60 6/2023
Great video. Did you have any issues regarding oil pressure? I've heard that installing a cooler like that could be a problem due to the lack of pressure in the whole CVT system... All the best.
2 year and 10’s of thousands of miles later and no issue😊
@@realrigsrattle8829 awesome. Thanks for sharing this. All the best!
🔥
Just ordered mine since it was on sale for only $50
Wow! That’s a great deal!
Yup Slickdeals 😆
me too, it's on the way!
@@Futbol90x no
@@j.s3591 got mine a while ago, not as much gallons per minute as I was hoping so it's not really good for rinsing a car, but it's great for everything else. There's even a company that sells a. Mini portable hose reel for $30 that gives you 30ft more of hose length, and you can easily roll it back up.
I wish someone would demonstrate how far it sprays…
Its on sale for $50 so i just ordered one, i can do it, what spray mode do you want to see?
Have fun on the trails
Nice cheap setup especially doing it with two 25 foot hoses
Shouldn’t that go Underneath or under the rear access in the trunk area???
It was originally but you can’t fit larger than a factory size tire in the spare location and that is after some significant hammering. My tires are a bit over an inch and a half larger than stock. Also, if I have coolers and gear in the cargo area and get a flat I have to remove all of that to get to the spare.
was a great run!
the most gay thing I've seen......ever
Any idea when an XL load rated 245/65/17 or a 245/70/16 will be available? They look to be a good alternative to the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T and I would love to see them be available at either Discount Tire or Tire Rack.
No idea on release yet. From what I can tell Milestar had to shift from manufacturing them in Europe to USA. So that may be what is causing the delay in these coming to market. I’ll be back at Overland Expo West in May and I’ll be making a follow video to this one.
Hope you have notifications turned on. I just ordered 245/65R17 111T XL for my Maverick. But I got em off Amazon, don't know if that matters to you. $723 after tax. Which made them $200 cheaper than the Wildpeak AT4W I was going to order.
@@skullsroad3642 I ended up going another way, in early 1/24, when two tires I was considering, the Milestar's and the Nokian Outpost nAT, both became available. I ended up with some 245/70/16's, that I put on some 16x7 Methods, I got on closeout. So far, I can say I much prefer the Baja Boss, , on My Bronco Sport. Are you on the Maverick Forum?
toyo's are insanely loud.
What are they like in snow ?
Two ply sidewall isn’t pretty standard for everybody; most, perhaps, but not everybody.
Think they are good for 30percent mountain trails and roads for hunting and camping and 70percent highway/city
