The Prodigy - Breathe (Live in Dublin 1995)
Pure wisdom
Who is the 10 year old that made this video? Bad sound, shaky camera, blah
A Nobel. 😂 peace prize .
People can’t deal with someone intelligent who rejects all their conventional premises.
Zappa is so much better than ANYTHING or ANYBODY that ever was. His mind is one of a kind his "right" to teach anyone what is real and good.
Zappa doesn't give a fuck and I love it!
11:00... Fox and maga, decades later got it down
The last 2 minutes is EXACTLY what's going on now with the incoming Trump administration.. people totally unqualified to hold positions to jobs that they no business having, Pete Hegseth, head of US Military, Kash Patel, head of FBI ... these people should not even be anywhere near those high level positions. As i speak, they have not yet been cleared, but if they're given the green light, ... omg.
Luuuuhhhhv this man!
You can't tell me this Frank didn't scare the hell out of the U.S. govt..I think they took him out because they were worried he might gain political traction. Can you imagine if he had of?I'm sure the government did. Therefore I can't buy that this guy died from too much coffee & too many cigarettes. There are so many ways the C.I.A. can eliminate you without leaving fingerprints it's ridiculous to deny the possibility.
unfortunately, he died of cancer, thats the sad truth.
@@bonnie43ukThe sad truth is most people fail to the research.Frank never accused the govt. because he had family to protect.his death was caused by a virulent form of cancer that wasn't detected until it was too late after regular checkups. Frank was pissed about it but do your own reseacrh because stating the obvious is somewhat ignorant.
🤘
What is playing at 10:00??
Zappa covering Bolero by Ravel I believe
@@deandalton8482 That's it! Thanks.
ahhh thats why make america great again makes sense
Not really. Trump is a billionaire...he's part of the elite. He's been infamously doing shadow business with Russian mafia since the 80s. He's part of this exact same smokescreen scam from the top, just a new reset of it. Zappa was literally talking about this exact same problem way back then. The media has been completely co-opted over the last 20 years, movie and music industries also infiltrated and dismantled from within. This "woke" branding is a media branding stirred up deliberately to make it seem like liberalism is taking over everything and is crazy. Now, the extreme right are making their power grabs throughout the world having used this as their excuse and to drum up support.
4.10 Frank goes to work in his dressing gown, sparks up a cigarette. Jealous. I have to wear a tie and pretend to like people. I may have to apply for a job as a musical genius.......
Zappa was heavy on the first amendment!
14:58 thats all that really needs to be said
.....he could have said everything yesterday as it would make more sense than ever today...
And he cheated on his wife
A famous rock guy cheated on his wife (although they still loved eachother and stayed together)?? Holy crap, that's a world shaking revelation
Women cheat on their partners all the time too. People are human...my gf cheated on me after a year apart in different countries. I understood, forgave her because she was obviously very sorry about it and it in fact strengthened our relationship. Welcome to life, no human being is some paragon of virtue perfection, accept it and you'll understand life, yourself and others a lot better and be a far more understanding and caring person.
@@DM-kv9kj exactly, i hope Frank enjoyed his sex life with as many women as he wanted, he was a musical genius. Sex is one of lifes many pleasures.
Yeah sorry guys let me un cheat real quick.
A serious candidate for most annoying person ever lived
Yeah, it's so annoying when anyone tries to talk about reality and actual issues. It makes me feel scared and confused, so instead of facing reality, learning, growing up properly and making some kind of effort to do my bit for the betterment of society...I just convert all that confusion and fear into hate and annoyance at the person talking about it.
Maybe "Tiny is as tiny do" hit a nerve?
Nothin better to do Augh?
I'm dumb, I somehow missed the very START of this video.
I love all the nutjobs in the comments trashing Frank -- maybe you all should go watch some Jimmy Swaggart or Jim Bakker or Billy Graham or Pat Robertson videos instead
Exactly!
Frank would have voted for Trump
Not a chance
No
I doubt it. Frank would have gone 3rd party after the last twenty years.
People out there he Frank Zappa was so much better ahead of most US citizen
Quite fun listening to this one the eve of the 2024 US election.
As brilliant as he was, labeling the media as conservative belies his argument who the bad guys are. He is a rock star drunk on his own ego and doesn' t mind. He has made a nice bubble for himself but has an insulated view of what the American people know to be what is right and just. This from a huge fan of his prolific library...he and Carlin.
Imagine thinking "conservative" (AKA right wing to the point of craziness) American governance isn't terrible, from both democrats and republicans, when in fact they're very much to blame for America being below about 15-20 other countries in happiness, livability, etc...
@@DoomKidWere he around today, he might agree the intentionally induced right/left narrative a distraction from more substantive issues we as a culture have no control over.
Things were very different back then. His claims were correct *at the time*.
He's being a bit disrespectful to the American public,
Rightly so, why respect a group who are themselves very ignorant and disrespectful..
What a character he was 🎉
7:45
imagine the panic on the face of the orange one if FZ was still around!
11:00 pretty wild how things have completely reversed. Media is controlled by left wing who are obsessed with censorship.
All mainstream media is between center and very far right, when you look at their policies and prescriptions.
The one and only...
Now in late 2024, Franks words are more accurate and prescient the ever. About the media, dictatorship, the religious right, he had nailed it decades ago. A huge fan of both his music and wisdom.

He knew what was coming.
@@BrianRoberson-k7g just saw a documentary on Frank called " what's wrong with Frank Zappa" ( facetious title) showing his youthful upbringing in Baltimore onwards, and towards the end they said his IQ.....172 !!!!
He was right at the time, and many things still are correct. But much has changed since those interviews, and he was bright enough he would've seen it.
@@chipsawdust5816 He did see it. America is winding it's way towards a fascist theocracy, just like Frank said.
@@DoomKid Yes, I hate being forced to pray 5x daily.
As an arrogant person, this guy is genuinely my inspiration. And I mean it with utmost respect, because I probably will never be as accomplished or smart as him, but I truly enjoy him telling it like it is, without embellishments or fake smiles.
I don't know, he's awfully bitter and condescending. I'm no spring chicken and I've always noticed that arrogant people are usually just very bitter.
That fkng' hilarious at @0:34 he's asked a question and 4 or 5 hands with mics pop up to document his delusional ramblings...to be fair I always liked Lee but😂
He is never “funny”. He is sarcastic, he hates people, he thinks and perhaps he was of superior intelligence to most people. I feel sorry for his children. I don’t think he was capable of love. He did make some incredibly amazing music
And Gail was no more capable of loving her children than he was. I’m surprised any of them survived.
Frank was absolutely hilarious in song form numerous times.
Turns out McCarthy was right though Much as I love FZ,he was wrong about a few things, everything has flipped and inverted anyway
The only way to think McCarthy is right is to have not been paying attention, while getting your news from very slanted sources.
Ironic how he spoke about how people had become comfortable with lying, when he was constantly having affairs with other women. I suppose I have to consider that he didn't lie about it, he was open about it. I love Zappa, I have forty plus of his CDs, and a huge amount of vinyl, but I recognize he was a very flawed person. I understand his cynicism, but his view was very one sided.
Boy, John Lifton was a total dumb ass. I hope he's not around influencing things any longer.
At the time, I have to be honest, Zappa seemed overreationary and paranoid. But now in retrospect you can clearly see all he was worried and warning us about is happening and it all started in the '70's and '80's. By the late '80's Zappa had clearly had enough. I wish more of us had taken him seriously and worked harder to change and correct the crooked path US politics has taken over the last 50 years.
Yeah when you put it that way, it really is your generations fault huh? You people were so docile and had destain for any semblance of original thought.
Imagine how brave he had to be back then when it was even farther away in time, given how hard it would be now, only 3 weeks after a wannabe fascist was elected to the presidency of the United States
@@limpusshrimpus9810 As a millennial, don't act like we're not the definition of complacent, by and large. Same with the X'ers and Z'ers, for that matter. Blaming the masses for being victims of decades of targeted misinformation in media and politics might feel like righteous indignation, but it should make you angry at the wealthy, the ones controlling the networks and the ones in governance - not the average dupe who is simply being lied to 24/7.
Why are we watching this? Nothing better to do ah?
Does anyone else not find it strange that his "doctors". Missed his cancer diagnosis 6 times. Makes you wonder if "certain" docs were like, oh that "commie". And deliberately missed it.
Come over the house and I'll show em to ya. What a brilliant answer
I guess you don’t have anything better to do tonight HUH?
What an insulting line to have someone on your show lead with, Christ Almighty. He obviously took it as such, and as always, made fun of it perfectly.
"Our own ignorance is the thing that makes America great"...well there you have it
It's so perfect!
At 2:52, Franks cynically says, "Let's not be too rough on our own ignorance, after all it's the thing that makes America great." Who knew that Donald Trump would take that idea and turn America into a shit-show, catering to the stupidest people in the country -- the poorly-educated -- in order to 'MAGA'?
He speaks as if there is an absolute morality. He is right, while rejecting it. He declares sin (violation of the perfect law) while promoting it. He thinks he is god. Too bad for him.
too bad for you, didn't get anything..
He quite literally does not speak as though there is an absolute morality. You just made that up only to tear it down. One can have strong opinions while still not believing them to be "absolute" in any sense. Your comment is skits.
The candy coating has worn very thin.
Fox News managed to expand that right wing radio maneuver to a truly grand scale. "Nice trick," indeed
The continuing truth in Zappa's observations always triggers defensive outbursts and parroted taking points from right-wingers with zero sense of comprehension or irony, as expected.
And yet some right wingers have tried to claim him for their own in recent years. Anyone familiar with his work or thinking knows this isn't true. Now, with Moon's book, she has confirmed it. She mentions how Frank and Gail were almost violently opposed to anyone in the family voting Republican.
@@augustusbetucius2931 Even then, you'll get people being like "b- but 80's republicans were bad, now Trump good!! Frank would like him!!" And actual FZ fans roll their eyes, of course...
