Would have liked seeing more of the paintings then the speaker

These baskets are very beautiful. That being said, as fiber artist and someone who understands the using of these items in ceremonies, it hurts me deeply to see so many ceremonial baskets, which this video attests to that they are not being made like this or to this level any more, to see these just hanging on a wall and not being used by the tribes that made these items. It is a deep and painful ache to me. i understand that this way they are preserved for the future, and that if someone wishes to create similar in the future they are there for reference... but this is not why these were made, this is not how the Gods and Goddesses would have wanted them to be used. It hurts...

Looking at the beauty in this gallery, thinking of the work and time, the devotion of creating a basket is amazing. I don't think I have seen such beautiful work and design. It is hard to imagine how the basket is put together with such geometrical perfection, the design right in place. Thank you.
