Baba Yaga, Op.56 – Anatoly Lyadov Baba-Yaga Piano Solo
Attempted to create a solo piano rendition of the tone poem Baba-Yaga by Liadov. Some of the passages are easier than others. I made tempo changes at the alternating time signatures so the notes can be executed better. A couple thoughts while playing this piece: the grace-notes at measure 251 are to sound like chicken feet, and the sixteenth note runs at 243 are for effect and every note does not have to be played.

Mikel Tulip Harp Review
Просмотров 9253 года назад
Hi everyone, This is a detailed review of my harp which I purchased Mikel Celtic. I hope this post may help people with purchasing through this company. I went on a hunt for many months to find a lever harp that would have more body and sound. I saw some harps online that were absolutely beautiful. Some were made here in the US, others in Europe. But I'm in no way wealthy and the harps that I l...
Thank you so much for the video and your description sir
hi aaron, now that it’s been 2 years, have you experienced any problems with your harp? I know some people said that they experience many strings breaking or cracking in the soundboard. I’m interested to know if you’ve had any problems thanks
Hey Joyce - I've had my harp for a couple years and only 3 strings have broken. They're easily to replace the soundboard hasn't warped or cracked. Still in the same condition since I unwrapped it in my house.
I was a bit thrown off as I was thinking of Mussorgsky haha, but this gave me the same idea!
I love this! The convenience of a lever harp, and the look of the gorgeous pedal harp! Perfect!
Is your Mazda 3 a hatchback?
Nope, it's a sedan. I could see this fitting inside the hatchback version though
@@aarongainer1848 Im on the verge of ordering mine from them. This same one. Did you have any issues with ordering at all? I’ve seen some reviews that say it was a nightmare but I’ve seen others like yours that had a fine experience
Hey @@resonantresendizrogelio ! I felt like the whole ordering and shipping process was straight forward. Their team was helpful in providing me the info for picking up the package at the freight warehouse. I recommend providing them the nearest freight airport code so it's convenient to pick it up. Its 3 digits- for example, MDT for Middletown.
@@aarongainer1848 this has been very helpful, thank you! How has it held up? :)
@@resonantresendizrogelio it's a quality instrument and the build is sturdy. I've been able to play fast passages on it with no limitations
Hey Aaron, nice video! I make my own dust covers.
Oh! I'd love to see them
@@aarongainer1848 Hi Aaron, are you on facebook or Instagram? It’s easier to share harp related pictures and things there.
@@charpnatl sure ig is breadloafgirl
Thanks for the detailed review! I just ordered mine, very excited to see it in person! About how long from when you purchased it to when you received it? Thanks so much for this!
It took about a month! They will give you tracking numbers :)
hi, did this come with a carry bag?
Not to my knowledge. I see on their site there is a dust cover available.
@@aarongainer1848 Ok because on their ebay description they say it comes with a carry bag. Does the string break easily? How do u find this harp so far?
@@simplecook101maybe they do now! I would ask. The strings last, I only had to change 2 strings since April.
@@aarongainer1848 are you going to post more video on this harp?
This is the harp I want. I came looking for info on the shipping process and your written description was perfect. It would be great to get the harp this year so I wouldn’t have to pay the custom fees. Your video solidified my decision on this harp. Now I just have to save up.
Thanks for the video, Aaron! I'm currently playing on a little harpsicle that I got secondhand, but I'm considering getting this harp when I'm ready to upgrade, as it's much cheaper than the L&H prelude that I've been eying for a while now. Please keep us updated on how you like the harp! :)
Hi Leah, will do! I have a similar story. I started learning on a Harpsicle for a little bit, but wanted to learn on something larger with more oomph. So far I've been practicing everyday and there's no issues with the instrument. The action of the strings are stronger than a Harpsicle but I feel like it's more fun because there's more sound. I'd strongly recommend!
Once you are more practiced can we have another review and performance? Also- what is your favorite pie?
Of course! I enjoy rhubarb pie
