Where do you buy those tires
has it got lsd or a locker in it
Was stock, factory equipped with a tired lsd diff.
What size tires?
Wish you had a part where you removed the TCM, I'm fighting getting mine out. Good video though , very informative
First
Clio?
Yes
What gear are you in?
I'm having a no start on a 6.0, I checked it with a scanner and there is communication with the TCM so I'm guessing I have a short somewhere. Any input would be appreciated it.
My hats off to you Sir !! This was very informative!!! And I love the “ Poormans” way of testing the circuits !! Freakin brilliant !!
Love the sound of rubber getting laid down.
What are the specs on the tires?
31x16 Requires a 3 inch lift and folding over some seems with a hammer but mostly fit.
Thanks man good video
nice
this will come in handy thank you
Did you put any 6.4 or did you have to be program
The tcm or any module should be programmed to that vin. Failure to do so can cause no shifting or erratic behavior.
Why does this phenomenon happen?
My only issue with this liberty type are those odd head lights and hood lol
I got the 2012 Liberty second generation Liberty looks so much better
What size tires ???
Yea that’s cold Bubba
I bet he just did a oil change and overfilled
I wouldn't say a run away. Definitely trying to run on its own oil. Didn't sound good anyway
Not my truck so...Ya, this is funny shit! lol
How did you stop it?
It’s an automatic?
"Captain!! I've got a runaway warp core! If I can't stop it in the next minute, I'll have to eject it from the engine bay!
Too bad it was automatic. If it was manual, stick it in 5th gear , hit the brakes and it stalls.
I know that headless chicken dance. I had a inline isuzu run away on me. Rack stuck it shut off on its own. Still turns over but pump isnt sending fuel to injectors. Did you blow the engine?
Really intelligent engine design. Not.
That thing was trying to put itself out of its own misery. Shouldn’t have intervened.
Why was the camera running?
With how it was sounding I wanted to see if it was going to let a rod go when I revved it up and get that on camera. I did not expect it to take off on me.
That was definitely a "check your pants" scenario😂
This exact situation is why your shop should replace all of their powder crap fire extinguishers with C02 fire extinguishers. C02 not only works great at putting out fires, but it also works great at shutting down run away engines. Spray the canister into the intake, and see how fast the motor shuts down. On the plus side, there's no mess to clean up either. You can't go wrong with CO2.
Unless you give yourself frostbite by grabbing the horn/nozzle or steel hard line instead of using the handle/insulated part on the nozzle, or accidentally spraying yourself. As the CO2 gas is released, it can generate temps down to -110 degrees Fahrenheit, so make sure what kind of CO2 extinguisher you have available, and how to safely use it before trouble strikes. Remember that the standard-sizes portable CO2 extinguishers have a much shorter range than dry chemical extinguishers; what you can put out safely at a distance dry you'll have to walk up much closer with CO2 to allow the gas and "snow" to cool the burning material and cut off the oxygen supply. Local fire/life safety codes or insurance/loss prevention companies may also require certain types of extinguishers for certain types of businesses based on various standards.
@melonbobful Correct! Theoretically, just about any CO2 gas cylinder can double as an extinguisher. But when they're dealing with this kind of a situation, they should absolutely have one pointed up the intake ready to go. Lessons learned.

I'd call this one a jog away
Kind of curious how you managed to use this tool on a Duramax glow plug...
You have to pull the wheel liner. Then cut the tip off the glow plug so you have a flat surface for the socket to tap against. Word of caution: The threads are small, corroded and made of aluminum in the head. Better to go slow and work up from there. If you get to crazy you can push the threads in the head. Hope this helps
@@BrianMiDrift to be straight up with you i was aware it wouldn't work with the the glow plug as-is, that's why I asked. My 2008 Duramax has 195k on it and I just did my glow plugs. First time they were done to my knowledge, and I live in the rust belt. I just sprayed them with PB/WD starting the day prior. 1/4 ratchet and tightened them all the tiniest bit, spraying them after. Then loosened each a bit and re tightened+spray. Then just turned each one out-in-out-in-out until they came out. I'm trying to clean up my subscriptions by unsubscribing to anyone who tries to spew some BS. I subscribed to you and just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have more junk cluttering up my feed. It does look like a decent bit to have. I've always used a beat up extension and hammered into the drive hole on that when I was afraid of hammering right on the head cuz of slipping off and breaking something. Or just beating on the extension with a hammer. Your adapater, allowing you to turn while hammering would make it easier though. Most people don't realize the benefits of hitting the bolt inwards and how much it helps to free seized bolts up.
HEUI ftw
Duramax engines are common rail injection. HEUI or Hydraulic Electric Unit Injection / Injectors are found in some Caterpillar and International Engines.
My buddy was always worried about his Pete running away on him, So he had a cool set up under the hood, Lever that you pull up and it quickly starves the motor of air completely. You just pull that lever , it clicks into place and blocks the airflow.
WOW Brian, Once you got it to stop how did it run after? Was the motor saved?
We did not attempt to restart the motor. The truck was pulled in to start replacment of the engine.
@@BrianMiDrift Oh okay . Thanks for the response brother.
You just have to cut the fuel supply.
How do you cut the fuel supply when the supply is crankcase vapors? Drain the oil?
@@BrianMiDrift you just put your floor mat over the intake flat pipe heading towards the airbox like your changing your filter put the flat rubber side against the now flat surface. Air stops, fuel stops. I'm a diesel engine enthusiast. Some people have tried garbage bags stuffed in the box but it makes a mess.
@@dachunde I cut off the air at the air intake to shut it down. That doesnt cut the fuel supply. Only good way to kill a runaway is by taking the oxygen away.
@@BrianMiDrift air is a fuel. Try burning diesel without it. I didn't say to cut the fuel oil. You just made an assumption. Sorry I did too. Internal communication engines are classified as bifuel vehicles. That's why you can't use em under water or inside a vacuum without O2.
@@BrianMiDrift combustion....oops.
That thing looks awesome!
It has got alot better since then. The complete turbo and cooling setup was redesigned. Looks a lot cleaner and more importantly it does break and catch the car on fire.
That thing could have blown like a bomb...you jumping in there was a dangerous thing to do.
That motor sounded like shit before it ran away
Does customer get new engine ? , or just. , cars ready pitch er up anytime
That truck received a replacment engine.
When you deliver tofu but you live in the South
I'm not a tofu fan but some of the tofu loving girls don't seem to bad lol
Just squirt seafoam into the inlet. That will save any engine.
what a sassy pants. wheres the cheeeeeeeech?!?!?
Did you not drain the tank, change the filter and flush the system?
We did, the custimer.drove for a while not knowing what he did.
@@BrianMiDrift Damn that sucks. We always tell people if you realize you put gas in it, don't try to start it. It's much cheaper that way.
Go catch it
Ever heard of a fuel shut-off valve?
Won’t do shit you moron, read the comments.
Where does one find the shut off valve that stops crankcase vapors from entering the engine? I could have removed the fuel lines and that motor would have continued running.
@@BrianMiDrift How do crankcase vapors get into the intake manifold? Just asking...
good hustle
I didn't want to be responsible for the shop burning down. As much as I wanted to see what would happen next and just let it go.
