@georgestreetchurch Christians are deeply deeply rooted in the OT and Jewish culture and customs. Jesus fulfils all of the OT messianic and prophetic messages etc...God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. This 7th day distinguishes humans from everything else that he created. The 7th day is not just a number but in Hebrew means a covenant relationship. Jesus died on the Friday and his resurrection occurred on the Sunday. This became known as the Lord's Day. So covenant was changed on that day and forever more because of the life, death and resurrection (and Ascension) of Our Lord and Saviour. Early apostles and disciples were Jewish and in the beginning kept the Saturday but we're also celebrating the Sunday as the Lord's day. John writes about it in the book of revelation chapter one. There are other biblical sources and historical accounts. Remember, Jesus only founded one church and who was given authority to interpret this. It's what is called apostolic tradition which the protestant churches have lost.

@@declanburke861 The Bible tells us that Christ did not change the law: Matthew 5:17 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. However some people follow the pagan church which became the papal church which today we know as the Catholic church. This church is open with the belief and they simply say "We changed the Sabbath" whilst I don't agree with the change I do admire that they are open and honest with this subject. Here are some quotes from Catholics: “It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.” Priest Brady, in an address reported in The News, Elizabeth, New Jersey, March 18, 1903. “Sunday is a Catholic institution and its claim to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles ... From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first.” Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August 1900.

@@georgestreetchurch we need to remember that God gave us government for our own good. When the church is weak evil men take over. When the church is strong evil hides from the righteous.

@@georgestreetchurch I have watched the sermon. I apologize for jumping the gun in judgment. I loved the sermon. My favorite part was when you say Jesus would’ve died for just one person. That shows the intense love he has for us and how great his sacrifice was. I understand now at the end of the sermon talking about the cheapness of Heaven. Meaning the trials we go through as Christians is nothing compared to the beauty and holiness of Heaven. Thank you for sharing with me. Again I apologize.

@@georgestreetchurch Thank you _ but that was probably one of the few things I did ....well as a parent ! I fell short in many ways . I could have done so much more to help prepare my kids for life but I chose to hide from my struggles ...and am paying for it . I am always grateful to God / Jesus without whom I don't even care to think about where I would be . Love , especially Unconditional love , is almost unheard of nowadays - everything is a business arrangement !
