Yeah, the only reason this game is still alive is that, people play with friends. In fact it’s the reason why I still play it. This game could do a LOT BETTER, their intentions of most of their content is scummy, the whole game now is full of kids. After the Halloween update. This game has lost a bunch of players. From 7k peak to 1k, that’s how much their peak could get to, and your game is bad when you know that your peak happens when a simple update happens. Props to you for finally talking about how this game is killing itself and how scummy it’s getting

Not a hate vid, only giving feedback lol. Seriously tho I started playing at the Doors update with a close friend of mine, I think that replayability wise the game is fine. As long as you do every map five time its good, but after that. Farming coins or mimic that you're somehow missing after five game on every map and difficulty for every follower is just annoying. And honnestly there are some stuff I dont mind, Like mimics, I mean once you've finished everything 5 time witch I havent its just fun to get lucky and finding a mimic. Recently I got both Honey Heist mimic and Mimic Bot back to back and you better bet I was hella happy. Its the farming past winning every map 5 time that is annoying. If they make em way more easier to get when you've finished every map five time or make them garanteed after [Insert whatever it should be after here] it would already be better. Same with coins, they added a way to buy the skin you want in crates but it costs like 5000. With every follower in the game and every crates buying everything ask for you to spend money in the game. If they would make coins drop rate like 5 time better when you get every tower (Even event ones) IT WOULD ALSO BE WAY LESS WORST. And lastly, the follower grind is crazy, there are some rare map where you need to finish more then 5 times to get the non boss follower. Just to spend 10000 gold to buy every one of em while you made a little less then 200 coins on those 5 game or so. Its cool when they make follower pack like Doors or Make a cake where some follower are free but still it cost way to much. And thats not even talking about pin pack. You cant buy the ones you want with pin packs, unlike with skins. I like the fact that you get 3 at a time and that theres less pin pack, it puts a little twist on things but still. And also those freaking Modifiers. 10% (Or so) chances to get 1 in hard. I've played in every difficulty togheter about 200 time the first map to get the two mods, as a completionist and skin collector I do not like every 100% aspect of there game and the only redeaming quality might be playing it with a friend. Although there event are almost always pretty fire. I hope they change stuff up like add more tower or give more tower boost and nerf some, buff some. Change the gameplay loop depending on the map. stuff like that

Also, is it just me or does the hallway look like the cool math games called “run”. Is it just me..

This is honestly what I want from tower heroes, I wished this was adventure mode where it actually makes me want to get there skins. I absolutely love this idea of tower heroes lore and we need this more than practically more skins for more games that we won’t play ever again after it all.

The thing is, the only reason I bought the lemonade cat plush for the skin, the reason I spend hours and hours to grind for mimic skins and the Halloween skins because that’s the point of the game now. There is rarely new things in this game that changes it, they ban people for dumb reasons and the fact the only reason to play this game is for skins is just sad. I have spend hours and hours on battle mode and I am tired of it, we need something new. Revamp the adventure mode with story mode with actual story! Make new modes, give us more heroes instead of skins after skins after skins. For Christ sake if they don’t change for it the game will die out and be a desert.

Funny story, I accidentally got Crab Mimic, Bot Mimic, Christmas Mimic (2 times), and gift Mimic while I was just trying to beat the maps. (I got Bot Mimic while doing the tallest snowman contract)

the only reason most players play is because of skins mimics, events, yearly map being added collabs, GAMBLING!!, a million different exclusive code skins like the year skins (2021 voca, 2022 skin series etc) toys, remakes, buffs and nerfs that make people replay, little secrets, event towers, microwave pasta, american cheese, basil, tomato sauce peanuts and salt mixed in a blender, tree restoration act

I agree with you 100% that's why I'm back and forth with the game and like you said the balance changes suck the meta has been basically the same 2 towers forever and the new updates suck now adays and take awhile and the game feels more competitive then enjoyable Edit: its also wild that they are gate keeping the mimic chances and their not even close to what they are on the wiki showing the corporate greed to try to keep us playing the game

I don't know what has happened to th (I quit 3 years ago.) but damn

So this is why I can never get those event mimics. Even if I started playing th last years Halloween I can say once you beat all maps you cant really do anything and the game honestly is quite boring nowadays as well as playing alone is basically impossible for newer maps. Honestly I feel like th could do a lot more with more devs working but those are really expensive considering todays economy and the games popularity.

I'm not gonna lie, I have had a whole lot of fun with Tower Heroes recently and the Halloween 2024 event, and you wanna know why? It's because I don't take the game very seriously and dedicate myself to it and instead just play when updates come out and don't grind the mimics or anything. If you want to still have fun playing this game, then take breaks and don't optimize the fun out of it. If you only like duoing maps with a friend, then just don't force yourself to do all the difficulties. All you really have to do is just play events and updates when they come out, and after you have had your fun, don't force yourself into playing anymore and just play the next update when it drops.

Good video! I'm glad you shed light on a lot of the issues not just you but most people active in the community have been saying for years! If these complaints will ever be acknowledged by the devs, probably not, but I'm glad at least SOMEONE is saying the issues with Tower Heroes beyond "replayability bad." I really hope the dev team actually experiments more or repurposes old content like TDS does, there is a treasure trove of promise that the community has and has made that just goes unnoticed so often. also THANK YOU FOR THE MIMIC ODDS

A lot of these issues were 100% here in late 2020. (for me at atleast) It kinda just depends on how fast you realize the content they release is actually just not great at all and if you play the game for a long time/a lot of hours it becomes VERY obvious that content they release is just repetitive and sometimes just trash... and like how you said the mimics scummy: 0.5% stickers... for some reason? 1% Mythics.. (they made it even worst by removing rare crate!) My favorite example of trash content is the 100 million update when they marketed Facility Raid and a SMALL update when it was the EXACT same size as any update lol...

Is gift mimic really that rare!?!?!? I got gift mimic 3 - 4 times in 2023 Christmas I might be lucky (I want this luck to get battle mimic and get stump my last skin to get from America mimic)

honestly playing this game just feels forced after getting all towers in the game you are left with just the maps which just award you cosmetics and only a few of them actually giving you towers or something worth it to get, and lets not even talk about the contracts system, absolutely having to do 16 different quests for like 4 rewards (which is actually less because they can reuse event towers) is actually just painful and tiring

honestly i agree with your points, the devs barely pay attention to the higher level players' needs at this point (keep in mind these are the players keeping the game somewhat relevant) and they dont listen at all. its sad to watch a game ive been playing since 2020 just fall off like this

I mean, how else is Pixel-bit Studios supposed to make money to keep developing? Pretty much all of their other games are dead (maybe with Survive the Wave as an exception). And the best way to make money? Keep those players playing for as long as possible!
