Ive seen The Tea Party live yesterday (16th october 2023), same place (Le Capitole, Quebec City). What a show. Those guys still rock. Very happy to have found this old "en ligne" video!!

This is an excellent interview. Kudos to the host and to Michael and Bill for their honest, direct replies.

I first saw them in '84, and met each of them a few years later. Sweetest bunch of guys. Bill has a kind heart. Although sad, I understood his decision. REM was never the same afterward, but I was happy for him in his decision. Michael put it so well. Bill loves the other three guys, but his heart wasn't in it anymore; it was back in Georgia with his family. I respect him for that. We were blessed to have seen/ heard the four of them together for those 17 years.

The intro was... Oddly amusing, to see them rocking out to lounge music.

I love how the recipients of the award walked out to the backing track of Britney Spears “The beat goes on”… did no one else catch that?
