Modern browsers and browser apps cause multiple instances in Task Manager. Each extension runs in its own process, as do other processes like the GPU acceleration, rendering engine, and so on. Some apps are actually apps in their own browser like Discord and Steam. OBS might be a similar app - not sure. Something else that may help is to go through Task Manager and right-click resource-intensive apps and select “Efficiency mode” (I think it’s called). I don’t turn off my PC (or my Mac) and only reboot when required (or if the PC is being wierd).

The farm land idea could just open a piston door or even iron door with a single farm land behind it. You don’t even have to piston the land just open the door.

It would be neat if you could get like a wooden sword or something from the ordering terminal because for those who struggle with health and rats it might be worth it to them to have the slot filled

This is one of the hermits playing one of my favorite games that I didn't know that I needed in my life but now I need it more than ever. Pearl's reaction to everything in the first 5 minutes just made me smile. I can't wait to see a lot more of this.

There are many different types of Satisfactory player and play styles, all of which are correct. There are the "don't care how it looks, it makes the things I need" players. There are the "don't care about efficiency, I still get the things I need" players. There are the "everything is neat and the factory is clean" players. There are the "everything must be planned out in advance for maximum efficiency" players. There are the "my factory makes 1 unit of this item per second even though I never need that many, just because I can" players. There are the "what do you mean I'm supposed to make stuff, look at my gorgeous city" players. There are the "kilometres of belts criss-crossing the map" players. There are the "haha train go choo choo" players. As long as yer having fun, yer doing it right.

I know you've started a few different games lately, but I would really love to see you play Outer Wilds at some point. It is hands down my favorite video game of all time. If you do choose to play it, avoid spoilers like the plague! And if you stream it, I would recommend putting chat in sub only mode or even emoji only mode.

34:12 Amethyst is a variety of quartz, it's colour comes from impurities in the crystal. Quartz can have many colours depending on what's in it.

Advice for new players: allow your first base to be a mess. You will demolish all of it once you have foundations and plentiful resources.

Software developer here. There's no harm in turning off your PC, but there's not much harm in leaving it on, either (other than it drains more electricity). There are a few exceptions: if you're having weird PC behavior, a reboot can often solve it by clearing the RAM and various caches; if you're updating the OS or certain software, you may need to reboot (though much modern software tries to avoid that these days); and if you keep software running that constantly reads or writes to a hard drive (SSDs are mostly fine, just specifically hard drives), you do *not* want that running all the time as it will lower the drive's lifespan. But if your PC is working fine, you have no updates pending reboots, and you're closing any HDD intensive apps when you don't need them, you should be good to just lock your PC instead of turning it off. I almost never shut off my laptop 🤷‍♂
