❤ One thing MKs experience on their family's furlough is going around to churches with kids they've never met in a country they aren't used to living in, since they didn't grow up in the United States. It will be so encouraging to them if they know you're praying for them! Many get a heart for the people in the country they've lived in and become missionaries there themselves! They already know the language and the characteristics of that country, so they have a head start there! I think the MKs are usually home schooled in that country, so that's another area to pray for them. You might already know some of the things they need prayer for, if you're homeschooled, too! 😊

I like to share ideas with other people. It gives more perspective to the idea, learn more about the person, and be closer when we agree on some parts of the subject. It's kind of like being a team ❤

It's kind of funny, but as an old lady, I often compliment people for a pleasant thing they spoke and way they acted. I'm not sure if it's just that age makes us less shy, or if it's because a kind person on a day that's been eaten up waiting over 20 minutes on phone calls for an answer to a simple question makes sweet and simple be an extra blessing! 😂

My "scary" is phone calls I have to make to deal with problems, like errors in billing, things like something we paid for not coming or happening, goofs I made, etc., etc. I dread dealing with things, but when it turns out to be a friendly and quick correction, I think, "I wish I'd dealt with this right away," instead of dragging my feet to deal with it because I was afraid that it would still be a hassle. 🥴 I keep reminding myself that God has a plan, and this can be a challenge for me to trust in Him!

Sometimes I'm irritated with my husband, then I realize that exercising compassion will be better for both of us. It brings peace. The compassion isn't because I feel oppressed; it's because I know we both need to grow, and compassion helps us to do it together. I'm glad that inner voice reminds me sometimes! 🤪

They could have thought of a clever way to achieve their goals, like one jumping over the other or something. 🤣 Unless the one side is just evil, we can find some area of agreement to build upon! It's sad when both parties are too self-serving and stubborn to modify the plan. The story does a good job of showing the need for understanding and creativity. Brainstorming is a great way to achieve! Dr. Suess had a cute way of teaching lessons.
