Food Train is a Scottish Charity that has been making daily life easier for older people in Scotland by providing vital services to those who are no longer able to manage independently.
We want older people to feel safe and supported, to have the right to eat well and improve their sense of wellbeing through increased social contact.
All our services are provided by a network of amazing volunteers recruited locally to support older people in their own communities.

We held an online Thank You event to celebrate Volunteer's Week, hosted by Food Train CEO, Michelle Carruthers. It was so lovely to see volunteers from all over Scotland, come together. Get a grip are they voluntary or are they people who are forced to be volunteers or they wont get paid. You treat unemployed people like shit. My sister was accused of stealing while doing a shop. Heres an idea stop treating unemployed people as shit and you may end up with a lot more volunteers.
Thank you for your comment Ella, we’re glad you enjoyed the video! The subtitles are a feature on RUclips using speech recognition technology and they work better on some videos more than others depending on a number of factors (for example the quality of sound recording and accents etc). We have disabled this feature and will have replacement subtitles in place soon.
This is an interesting and informative video, but have you check the subtitles? They are just awful.
