The trick to the Univibe groove is you're not playing the Univibe it's playing you. Your timing needs to be timed with the univibe speed and catch the notes in the correct place during the wave movement. Hope that makes sense? Hendrix, Trower and Gilmour had the groove. I feel Trower mastered it perfectly.

I’m guessing this pedal doesn’t compare too well if you already own a Rotovibe or a MXR UniVibe.

Sounds like it needs some tweaking internally to match a Uni-Vibe. There are three trimmers inside, I assume one is a bias for the light bulbs (or are they using LEDs?) With intensity at Minimum, the main notch should be at 1.5kHz

Will any of these transistors be used in a point to point series pedal?

2025 should see deployment of the two-channel Wierdocaster, providing two outputs for separate fuzzes and amp-transducer arrays. 🤘

Hey Markus, did this modded Jen Fuzz circuit actually become a production model of yours? I just recently found your channel/pedals and the ART!!! in them stopped me in my tracks and drew me in. I'm planning on picking up one of the limited 2n2Face on Feb 22nd. I'm Irish but living in the United States. I'm going to start fooling around with some breadboarding myself... Thanks to you, Josh Scott and Brian Wampler. I look forward to seeing what's to come, and catch up on what I missed. After years of under-appreciating fuzz... I have finally arrived.

Just received mine in the post this evening. Very impressed by the sound on both bass and guitar. It feels a little flimsy especially the switches but I haven’t had a behringer product fail me yet.

those are octocouplers, its a photocell attached to a led .. which is very cool and this has four of them.. so right away this should be a great pedal .. i paused at the couplers .. but i bet my life it sounds great .. i made a few pedals with these devices and they were excellent

The presence of chips wouldn't mean it isn't analogue, it would depend what the chips are.

Pretty darn good!!!! With another footswitch, I feel like it would’ve been huge to have that as a feature to be able to ramp back and forth between two preset speeds, and leave the chorus/vibrato as a toggle switch.

Very tidy, no offense here, but aren’t the things that fail the components? The only thing you’ve changed is the use of a pcb, the components are still going to eventually fail.

It's a decent circuit for the money, I've had one for a few days now, and like the 69 Vibe, the build quality is excellent for the money. The micro switches are the only part that let them down, as they engage the effect when released, etc

It has the same optics setup as the Roger Mayer voodoo vibe

Brilliant, I've been waiting for someone to do this. Thanks. I've been wondering if this was optical, like the Shaky Jimi/Easyvibe or a copy of something like the mxr univibe. I'm kind of suprised Behringer has done this earlier given the prices of most other Uni-vibes.

Hard to assess as you need to play trower/hendrix songs to judge in my opinion, they were the best exponents of the univibe. I guess YT wont let you play the songs due to copyright so the reviews struggle to give an accurate picture. I have many univibes but the reviews of the berringer would not convince me to buy one. I have the Berringer Rotary Machine as well but the viscous vibe pips it and the nuvibe is the hard to beat. That said there are a few more expensive pedals out there that would be even better but you have to draw the line somewhere cost wise.

That doesn't seem to be a real bypass, I see plastic momentary switches, am I right? I also see 3 trimmer pots, what are they adjusted with? Can you change the factory settings, speed, intensity ..?

Univibe INTO fuzz...The Trower way. FYI.

Been waiting on someone tearing one of these down ! So, 4 X Vactrols - never seen that before. Those there trimmers are the key to getting this thing sounding amazing. The good thing thing is you won’t need the back on as the LEDs are encased. 2 of the chips will be for the LFO and my bet is that the small one is a charge pump to knock 18v from 9v. Could be wrong though … Bloody bargain for that build quality.

I like this one, I've been looking for a Univibe that's not $500 I think this might be the one. I just want it to do crazy psychedelic stuff, not chasing any particular Hendrix or Thrower tone and this works
