Scott's Review of Westcott "Photo Basics" 9'W x 10'H Green Screen

I couldn't find any video reviews of this Green Screen before I bought it so I made one. Lots of screens to choose from. On the high-side of the selection of affordable screens ($70), the Westcott screen is likely the most wrinkle free. Great for traveling! Sorry in advance for the limited production value of this video just wanted to get something up without a lot of fuss!

Fishing trip from the Destin Army Recreation Center aboard the Stars and Stripes. The fishing is usually great, but this video is made up of video scraps generated while testing a new setup with a Contour Roam camera. Also, Red Snapper season is over.
I have the same radio, had to charge it up about twice in two years! Battery lasts forever!!!
Good to hear!
Great video thanks for sharing
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
Can’t find these parts anywhere….
I guess it has been a while. Sorry I can't help you.
@@sschaef1000 no worries. Finding upper and lowers for a RWD is near impossible.

Well that was a useless video
Replacing both uppers and lowers on my 02 Durango in a couple of weeks. Local shop wanted $3000+ (not a typo) for this. I am 60yo now and not as limber as I used to be but you can bet I will get it done saving 3k in the process. All the arms and swaybar links $250 at Rock. Thanks for the Vid.
Wow, that's great to hear....thanks for sharing!
Hello, can it charge off of USB? or are the only two options plugging into a wall outlet or a cigarette lighter? Cheers
No USB option that I can find....just wall or lighter outlet.
You forgot to say, if you're driving a rib or a jet ski you cannot hear anything that comes through the internal speaker the volume is quite. Nothing like a well known other make that you can hear very loud and clear. if you're driving an open boat or jet ski this is not the VHF radio for you. apart from that it is a good radio. But has very quiet volume.. it dose have a external speaker and mic output 3.5 jack plug. But sorted defeats the object on a jetski.
Hmm... could be. I never tested the radio volume while underway on a jetski or something similar. The volume is certainly sufficient at idle or while trolling.
Thank you so much for this video my friend.
Glad it helped!
Why not be honest? You made this video without any experience with the unit. 5:55 was a waist of time! The capabilities just basic stuff, not interested to talk about? But it is important what way the battery goes into the charger! Your manual skills suck!
Thanks bud
You're welcome!

Great informal video! I have a 2002 Dodge Durango 5.9 RwD with a missing bushing on the right side upper control arm only. You made no mention of the spring unless I missed it. Do I need to put a separate jack under the lower control arm to hold it up from releasing the spring? I only have to do the right side because of a bushing that has completely disappeared and it causes a clunking noise due to metal hitting metal. I’m having trouble getting info on this so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for writing. Unfortunately, I sold the truck long ago and have no recollection of how I dealt with the spring. Good luck!
Thabks for the vid. I just purchased a used 2000 ram van that I thought was in need of ball joints... NOPE! Seat post was completely loosened, about 1" backed off. Now I have no idea how to get them back where they were supposed to be. But this video helped.
Cool! Thanks for writing.
When u say right side and left side are looking at the vehicle or sitting in the driver's seat? Is right side passenger side or driver's side
Right side is passenger side. Thanks for writing.
Hi what is the difference between model hh 350 and hh150
Unfortunately, no idea. Probably get that info on the Cobra website. Thanks for writing.
Broader bandwidth range
Honestly for this kind of money you're better off spending an additional $100 and getting a handheld that has DSC & AIS capability and GPS. $200 to $300 USD. Why save a couple bucks when you can just go for some of the best. Whatever reason you need a marine handheld radio.......I'm thinking you can afford the $2 to 300 bucks after what you just dropped on whatever you're floating on in the water! Like seriously!
What is the part number for the charger. Lost mine in a move and need a new one.
Part number is CM 110 030

I have a 1997 dodge Dakota 3.9 2wd I went to my nearest stores to see if they have any right side upper control arms and they don’t have it but they said that a 4wd would fit my truck.. is it true ?
Good question. Unfortunately, that is beyond the scope of what I recall about this truck. (We sold it a couple years ago.) Thanks for writing, and good luck!
@Scott S - Out of town visiting family for the holidays & want to help 'em out by replacing the ball joints on their 97 Dodge Dakota... However, my time in town is limited and wondering if I could maybe speed things along by simply purchasing new/complete upper and lower control arm assemblies in order to skip some of the more difficult processes(?) While I have most my tools w/me (ie: drill, grinding wheel, electric impact, wrenches, etc...) I unfortunately don't have my air tools :( Any thoughts would be appreciated/thx!
WJK, unfortunately I did this work/video about 6 years ago. We have since replaced the truck and I have not done any similar work since. I suppose if you can find upper and lower arms with everything complete it will save you some time and tools. We did all of our work without any air tools. Good luck!
Thanks a million. I am going to buy one because of your review !
Great! Glad you found the video useful.
Is the recieving range on this VHF good?
I haven't tested that specifically, but I think it is in line with other radios in its category and price range.
It really depends on the local weather and bandwidth reception. Sometimes its absolutely amazing, other time's it sounds like pure garbage. Especially in foggy weather
no its terrible. ive been using it for 3 months now and its terrible
Hi Scott, can you tell me does this radio have channel 37, or m1? that's the channel that my local sailing club uses. I bought the Cobra HH 125EU before realizing it didn't support that channel and I don't want to make the same mistake twice. Thanks for your help,
Joel, It does not. Available channels include: 1-28, 60-88. The manual is here: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2203/2035/files/MRHH350W_FLT_MANL_ENG.pdf?6163310166077199824

I would like to change the atis no. Do you know how to do it ??
I don't understand "atis no"?
I own my own COBRA MARINE HH350 VHF SCANNER RADIO for over 6 years now. I've never had any major issues so far. A few minor issues with having to get a new anttana, other than that clarity on the cobra Marine hh350 VHF radio scanner has always been good and gone wrong. pretty much anywhere you buy them that they sell them you will pay $115 to a maximum of $120. Best investment I've ever used considering I live in Duluth Minnesota in the great lakes. Lake Superior is a deadly area and is well-known for its out of nowhere Stormy weather, high tide at any given time and deadly rip tides and currents. The Cobra Marine hh350 VHF radio scanner has saved me on many different occasions. I will always trust Cobra and I take it no matter when I go on a boat or even just off the side of the lake.

I have a 425 radio and when I charge it it turns green but then when I turn it on it doesn't work?? Any suggestions??
Get a new one. You've over charged the battery and fried it. Hints it will work on the charger stand but not after removing it from the charger stand.

Great review 👍 Dicks has 20% off this weekend, I am going to order one.
Great! Thanks for watching.
The backup battery tray takes AA's and also makes the unit NOT float anymore. The regular lithium, though only 1000mhA, lasts a long time, 20 hrs in my experience, but like any lithium I don't recommend discharging it all the way. One problem is the battery indicator is NOT reliable - charge it after any time you use the unit for more than a couple hours, otherwise watch your battery go toast (like any lithium battery). Rinse after every use, some reviews say there is a corrosion problem. To be fair, I've never had a piece of metal that doesn't corrode in salt-water... Decent radio. I'm upping the antenna. Icom radios have a multi-channel monitoring feature, which would be nice, but I'm satisfied with mine.
Thanks for the additional info!
Where did you find the AA tray? I tried Amazon and no.

Great video 👍....what procedure did you do to remove the coil springs. I have to do this to my 01 Ram 2500 and that’s the part that worries me the most
Jerome, it has been awhile, but I don't recall removing the spring. The spring is supported on top by the chassis and on bottom by the lower control arm. I think we jacked up the lower control arm to isolate spring pressure from the steering knuckle. Good luck!
Annoyed that the company doesn't even show all this! Thanks man! :)

The upper control arms arent curved on my truck its 1999 dakota 5.2 rear wheel drive do some have it curved and some dont?
Sorry, I can only confirm what I found in my truck. Good Luck!
Scott S so i talked directly to dorman for the part and they told me the curved pivot bar is the new style they put on them but it works the same
Great, thanks for the update!
Thanks for the tips! A whole new arm isn't in the budget for me. I'm pressing and drilling out the old stuff.
Great...good luck!
Dude, slow down and breath.
Or he may be pushing himself to rush thru something making himself get something said. He sounds like hes strapped for words or hes really shy about being on camera. Yes it may be an issue but the "umm" says differently. Just my take.
Thank you for saying the torque. That's all I wanted to know. A lot of other videos just never say it.
The problem I'm having on all the videos on here about this subject is the fact that you have to press on the bushings with the pivot arm bolt in place in the control arm and no one shows how to do this without smashing the control arm in while pressing in the bushings. It seems to me that you would need a piece of pipe with a slice cut out of it so it would slide over the pivot bolt and then you would need a large enough C clamp to press in the bushings. The bushing press they sell at Harbor Freight can't do this job. Oh yea it can press the bushings out only after the pivot bolt is removed out of the bushings but how do you do that part without destroying the pivot arms. Is everyone cutting the pivot arm bold to accomplishing the job? And every car or truck has it's own size's to deal with so one size don't fit all in these cases. Are we in need of a new tool to be invented and produced to do said task at hand? YES! Should I draw up a set of plans for said tool and post them on here? This is how I got three patents to my credit already.
I didn't replace any bushings....I bought the parts with them already installed. Thanks for writing, and good luck with your idea!
A question, at 3:00 you were talking about rotating the bar in order to put the friction slots down. If you loosen the nuts and rotate the bar so that the friction grooves are down, That would put the arch in the bar in the wrong direction. I realize that the felt tip marking points you suggested earlier would be worthless in that case. It seems to me like you would have to swap ends with the bar in order to put the arch in the right direction. Does it matter which way the arch is on that bar?
Phillip, on the new control arm that bar is straight (not arched like the bar on the old control arm--in the video--it replaces). Good catch, though!
Driver side is straight bar and passenger is with a curve
For those doing a search for "Dodge Control arms" in RUclips, the Ram 2500 and 3500 RWD IFS control arms are very near identical to this video, Auto Stores have tools to rent to "pop" out the old bushing and install new, the lower control arm (2500 and 3500) is double wall so if you have a shop press be sure to place spacer between walls as to not bend the wall / walls.
Does it work
hey there, I realized that when i was banging on the hub to release the upper ball joint, the whole control arm moved. that means it didnt have 150 lb of torque. any ideas what happens if i install the new control arm and its not in the exact same spot? obviously an alignment will be needed asap but is it driveable?
I would simply let your alignment mechanic know. I expect he should be able to make any necessary adjustments. Good luck!
Have you driven it in the rain yet? On dry roads it does somewhat OK but let it rain and go for a ride and you'll be crapping your drawers. By now you more than likely got your alignment. Oh yea I found out the hard way on this one too. It wasn't fun at all.
that was very helpfull saved me a lot of time thank you
Great--glad it helped!
Anybody got info on how to replace the upper control arm. how do you get the bolts out of the frame that hold the pivot arm.
can you just get by replacing the bushings & ball joint or is it better to replace the whole arm?
I'm pretty sure you can--there is a video somewhere on that, but not by me. I decided that replacing the whole control arm gets me a very secure new ball joint and new bushings without the hassle of doing it myself. However, replacing just the ball joint should save you the hassle of getting the alignment checked after the job.
I have to replace the upper control bushing on my 1995 Dakota. Unfortunately, I could not find the assembly which includes the upper control arm with the bar, bushing and upper ball joint. With some, if not all, trucks, the bushing need to be pressed out and then pressed back in.. Meaning that you have to take the assembly to a shop that has such a tool. I am not what you would call a mechanic but I have worked on cars and trucks my entire life having more good luck than bad by far. If you can find the assembly, I would go that route. In my opinion. And I know what they say about opinions, HAHA
Brad hmm. figureing time to.do it and able to.purchase a complete arm just bought a moog new bushings..ball joint 67 $ at wholesaler where mechanics go..and only having vehicle down 40 min say is a plus..has a 93 rebuilt that front end 6 times yea nail polish mark position homemade bolt press/puller bushings
