Thank you for your thought through and very important question Zizipho! It is possible. Mindset: A can do mindset. Determination. Work ethic: Perseverance until you get your degree. Practices: As far as possible, do not fall behind. If behind presently, set aside a good few days including weekend for nothing but catch up. This is usually great over a long weekend. Read ahead of class through course material as far as possible and ensure you understand what you’re reading. Ask clarifying questions in class. Do secondary reading where possible. Google prominent case law for further understanding. Also at the beginning of each year try to obtain summaries of the course modules from former students - sometimes students sell these so buy someone’s notes who you deem reliable. Ask around for this and about reliability. This material aids as secondary reading as well aside from own research by way of Google. Don’t see it as extra work coz each time you grapple with a concept, each time you read a case, your understanding will solidify further. Study groups are good for better understanding as well and to swap summaries, ideas, questions. But keep it small and always do your primary reading first. Also it is great to explain concepts aloud, record yourself while talking through new concepts, explain concepts to fellow students as if a teacher. Your understanding solidifies further when doing so. It all comes down to understanding then conveying that understanding during exams. So yes, very possible. I’ve done it. Others have. You will too! So I’d say research your field and look whether there is a market here for you and use LinkedIn as your best friend to job hunt! I’ll share a video asap as well. I could have studied it at Stellenbosch University in South Africa as well. Quite a number of institutions in South Africa to choose from actually.
