In August of 1973, excessive rain in Kashmir paired with melting snow caps in China led to a surge in the Indus River. Every parcel of land the Indus touched was submerged. Nearly 2 million people were left homeless and the death toll was in the thousands. Infrastructure completely collapsed putting a halt to transport and communication in the country. The canal system at the time was made of sand and leaves which collapsed as soon as the water began to swell. The most affected were farmers who resided along the river particularly in Punjab and Sindh. The loss was reported to be close to $250 million with farmers losing their homes, cattle and loved ones. Also the performance of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan sb is good. But Awful performance by Hamid Ali Khan and Asad Amanat disappointed to listen them.
Most superb performance is of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sb and Ustad Salamat Ali Khan sb.

The late Mehnaz ji had mellifluous voice. Such a sweet singer gone too early. Ustad Salamat Ali Sahab brought tears of ecstasy in my eyes, such mesmerising was his singing. What a beautiful program thanks a ton for this lovely delightful upload 🙏🙏🙏

GREAT Show. I was brought in a qawwali family. NIZAMUDDIN Aullia and Amir Khusru are my favorite of Chisti Silsalah.My father was posted in New Delhi and every week at his Dargh. I am in Canada listening.
