As a hammered dulcimer player I've wondered if I could train myself to use double hammers in each hand like a marimbist. Maybe I'll try some more and see if I can make it work

Shaw is such a fine soprano. I’ve heard her live in a Skidmore opera. I also have a Scott Miller CD with her. She really has a talent for modern music.

It’s interesting to see the Schubert Club explain harpsichords. Could you tell me why you do? Not that you shouldn’t, but Schubert is one of the composers who marks the end of the harpsichord, so seeing his name impart a certain authority (?) is confusing. Without some explanation of course.

Jared and I were in a contemporary jazz band called After Hours with Jared Rush. I was the percussionist, while Jared was the leading sax player. My brother played bass and Jared’s brother, Jason, was the drummer in the band.

I heard Beatrice Rana on December 13th 2021 playing Chopin, Debussy and Stravinsky in Cologne. She is the greatest musician of her generation and her way how she regards music is breathtaking. She's a game changer. Endless space. Endless volume. A breathtaking large of different colors in her sound. I don't find the right words to describe what it means. She's the "Martha Argerich" of her generation.
