Um.....the gnostic scriptures predate all other versions of the Torah. In fact, the Torah is what's left if the gnostic scriptures after the pharisees changed the texts to suit their political needs. This is when Hebrew religion moved from polytheism to monotheism. Elements of zoroastrianism and other religions of the region were also added in at this time. This happens multiple times in Hebrew history and also continued into christianity with the nicene decree when Constantine did the same thing for the same reasons when he created the christ myth by combining elements of various ancient messiah figures. This is called typology and was used by rulers in the ancient near east to rule more easily. They would combine familiar aspects of the various religions of their subjects to create a unified religion and then proclaiming themselves as the only access to whatever God they created.
