Manila's Light Rail Transit is the oldest rapid transit system in South East Asia, opened in 1984.They are being upgraded recently by the government. There are on going expansion for MRT (MRT 7) as well as LRT (LRT 2 extension), Metro Manila subway, North Commuter Rail & South Commuter rail.
