Howard Rotavator in action final preparations before planting spuds 2023 ,I restored this Rotavator last year , fixed it's original engin a 5 HP Briggs and Stratton engine,it's was build in the USA in 1990 . thank for watching

Ive got one myself, im modifying mine though. In process of fitting marshall wet 802 back axles, (wet brakes) and fitting 995 david brown axle to the front with the ram down the side. Beauty about the david brown axle, appart from the simpler steering arangment, (and stronger than the leyland one) is all parts are still available for them, my leyland kingpins are shot and you cant get them. All the steerings shot actually, some bits are available but at a price. will be doing a fair bit of road work with it, proper work so these mods will benefit me.

@@philipm1009 Cheers,👍 saw a fella in the UK doing same, with the Marshal back axles, and it works out well. Not much to change really, some brackets and that, he kept the rod linkage and so will i, the marshall uses brake cylinders but it's simple to change it . The only really difference is in tenth gear, marshall blocked it off to keep the tractors road legal, you see their axle used two less teeth on the bull gear than Leyland's to accommodate the bigger wet brake housings, so in top gear you'd actually get 50 k out of it!! Maby a bit more. I'm leaving that feature be handy for me moving bales and that!! 😂👍

@volt8684 thanks, to remove the carb ,first remove the air filter that's held on the carb by two bolts ,then there's two bolts on the manifold juts under the exhaust these are easy to reach if you remove the exhaust first ,take a photo of the spring set up before removing the carb , hope that helps

Aye most be ,won't take much to make it into a European spec John deere really I suppose
@@philipm1009 I could be wrong but I think the bonnet shouldn't have lights at the front - I think the eu ones have the round ones similar to a 4955 or 3650 and the fenders are also incorrect aswell as the roof markers 😔

Nicely done Philip looks well from me where i live is only no distance from Conor Engineering in Tubber County Clare it is great the amount of companies that have worked hard to bring out Irish farm machinery 👍

Great video I like the even flow sticker on the bottom and like the idea of a mower for the back was thinking of making a trailed mower for the back of my quad and there is a RUclips video I think it is don DIY made a trailer mower for a quad you might be able to get idea of that
And I would love to see more 📹 on the leylands
I the newer 66 cab is called a bubble cab that’s probably just what my da calls them
Great video Philip! I'd say you did a grand job of reviving the John Deere. Smart plans for getting more use from it. Hope to see more updates in the future. If it pulls well enough ~ you might consider some ground-driven equipment. What kind of orchard trees do you have? That's a proper pumpkin! Hope you had yourself a Grand Halloween! Good job buddy. I’m just wondering do you know of anyone that does scratch built model tractors in your area. Unfortunately I don’t bother with Facebook or instagram
The only one that comes to mind is perfect32 he is a scratch builder from co Tipperary does top class job ,check him out ,he does conversions ,people sent him there tractor and he is able to convert and modify them really well ,great quality
