Had this happen with two friends of mine. One of them was a bridezilla and intentionally scheduled the wedding shortly before, 1 hour drive away. Best I could do is attend the ceremony of one, dip out and congratulate the others at the reception. Both couples are still married 20 years later, but I hardly ever see my friend with the bridezilla. He turned into a shell of his former self.

Well, I guess in the first story there are several things: 1) Is op ready to pay child support? His son is old enough for the courts to take his opinion in on where to live. What would a judge think about the step brother stealing, and parents who are not stopping it. Or 2) Do they have ER money? Seems like OP is backing his son into a corner and it now becomes a ticking time bomb before he lashes out in ways that none of them are prepared for, not only the verbal but also getting physical. How will OP deal with his son that decides to take matters into his own hands and is beating his stepbrother hard, with the intent to get justice. Or when the son decides enough is enough and goes in and wrecks the step sons bedroom, taking everything back? This is a rewrite of an older story. In the original, the inheritance was from OP's mother and the daughter thought she should get it or was promised it. But she had gone NC with the OP and he had kept all the inheritance. Eventually they fixed their relationship and attended her wedding. Better story than this one.
