Nice teaching skills, voice, and bandaid 😊
Well done!!!🌝
Absolutely love it ❤❤❤ aka T!!! Amazing Talent!!!
I've only been playing for a couple of months. My posture is pretty good. I've been burying the beater since I started. I've seen people say to avoid this. I can't seem to get away from it tho. I know it'll just take practice if I want to avoid it but is it really a big deal to be able not to bury it? I've watched drum covers of really good drummers and they do it.
mf as p...mezzo-forte as piano and the ff as f...then you need more steps in the resolution of the pads to get an accent working!
On my express 3, my ride cymbal is 2 zone... the edge when hit, sounded like the bell of a real cymbal... it went away... tried reading instructions... oh well... I play out 2-3 times a week
This rhythm is not played on Djembe and doesn’t sound like this.
That's why I called it a practice rhythm. The parts are somewhat simplified for beginners who only have a djembe. I make no claims of it being traditional, there are lots of videos for that on youtube.
Nice!
Thanks for this video, today im gonna buy a practise pad to practise some rudiments and i think this song would be a great start.
my hi hat controller stopped clicking but it can still close the hi hat..... have you ever got that problem ? I tested all the kits to see if it was a sound related problem but no sucess
Looks like you have got some time on that snare drum...
Oh yea! Been on there for about 18 years! Still sounds crisp!
Great exercise dude. Check out some of my vids. DRUMMING IN 8/8 TIME by The Drum Wizard. Have a good one.
Very accurate notation! Good job
A 2
Why tho?
Some type of mental torture
No practice no progress
Kit mobility
wow. it would have been nicer if you add a snare note on the last 4
I hear you, the snare backbeat would definitely help to understand the bass drum rhythm, but I'm playing the pattern in the book and I didn't want to change it😎
@@dgrren ahh..ok..what is the book?

As long as I've been at it, I never really thought about it until recently. A very key lesson in playing your bass drum well/properly. Many thx!
Thank you for the advice! I am just starting out and was wondering what best technique to start with when dealing with the kick drum. Posture and burying that beater helped a lot!
Really good this, thank you‼️🇦🇺✌️
Classic teaching!!!
Awesome
If you learn to play by burrying the better and the reason is to support your weight/body, then problems will occur during play, such as you will not be able to use dynamics, and loose balance of you need to use double pedal setup or you have to splash hihat pedal and kick together in unison, specially at slow tempos then you have no balance and your body will want to lean forward fell on the set.. Although is a begginerceasy solution till get some time to meet with the instrument, but techniques is the key for everything..... For the same reason we don't bury the stick into the snare/toms.. Happy new year everyone.
It's not the most advanced technique, but not a beginner, easy solution. Lots of pros bury the beater. I don't have any of the problems you've listed.
Totally agree with you
I teaching myself to unbury the beater at the moment .... I find myself less tense
Yep, whatever works for you!
82ND AIRBORNE I'm going for it ese!!
hey i am having a problem with my yamaha dtxpress 1 and the sounds is really really low and i have the sounds on the module on highest and i can barely hear it if you could help me that would be great or some one
Hey man, sorry for your troubles. I'm not familiar with the Dtxpress 1, but I'm pretty sure on all electronic kits you can adjust the individual volume for each pad or sound, and then there is the overall kit volume control on the module. Then there is the master volume knob as well. Make sure the individual pads are at a good volume, the overall kit is at a decent volume on the module, then you can adjust from the master volume knob from there. If you're still having trouble getting a decent volume, check your headphone or output cable, hopefully the output jack is not failing. If so, maybe there is another output like a line-out that you can use
Sometimes a factory reset fixes it right up just try to record all your saved parameters of your kits.
brought all my pads to highest... 127
Ok.. good example..
those shoes are dope
Very nice explanation, I love your hand technique
Fair enough
Yo, that's some quality over there! Good job!
Good advice! Ty
ONLY ONE SOUND THAT'S IT THAT DON'T HAVE MORE SOUNDS. REALLY
Sounds like crap. Not your drumming. The e-kit sounds awful. Then again, it's ANCIENT.
Thank you!
Cool, thanks for the compliments guys! Hip hop drumming sounds simple but it's got to be ridiculous smooth and so consistent. Pocket!
...the drum...the drum...the drum...the drum...the drum...is the most important instrument.
The drum is the most important instrument! This dude is the cool one. Thank you, bro!
I never thought about the difficulty of the drum on these truck!!
An Anna Keller classic! Go Anna and Daniel!
That, right there, is where it's at!

WOW! He's got good timing!
Thanks, Rick! He was going a little fast, but still kept it in the pocket :)
Yaaaaaaay!
Best Drum circle ever!
thanks for the props, peeps! after the huge disappointed let down with my failed band, I figured it's time for me to go back to my roots and ReDiscover my passion for playing. So I decided to go back and jam on the music I used to listen to before I started playing drums! that area of my life was about excitement and potential, was not tainted with the disappointment and frustration that I experienced with bands
This is great!
TIGHT!!
Andrew is in the pocket
Nice. However, the description is incorrect. Makuta is a Cuban rhythm based on Central African drumming. It's not of North Africa or the Yoruba.
