My name is Robert G. Lewis and I am software engineer with over two decades of programming experience. I wanted to create this channel to provide visual content that will assist current developers working to solve problems as well as junior developers who are trying to enter the industry.

@@forlooplogic Being HONEST and genuine. No BS sugar-coated nonsense. Also I think you are right about settling for lower pay if it means "getting your foot inside the door" and using that first job as a learning experience and stepping stool. Me personally I would be more than happy to make $45,000 - $50,000 on my first coding job if that means I will get valuable LEARNING experience. Also I've been doing crappy, meaningless jobs for the longest so being able to do a coding job that will allow me to use my intellect in a comfortable setting (office and/or home setting) is another added benefit.

Great content. Thank you. What do you think about framework? Im seeing a lot of React JS position in my area.
Sorry for just now responding. I will do better going forward I’m still learning this RUclips thing. I would say first figure out what you want to do as a software engineer. Once you know that, then research what languages and tech stacks you need to learn. As for React, I think it or Angular would be a great choice.
Sorry for just now following up, I think either React of Angular are the ways to go. However, especially if you don’t plan to move, I would go ahead and learn React since it’s widely used in your area. Sr Dev | Robert
