hey! i’m the author of this fic, and i just wanted to say that you did an AMAZING job!!! it was only until after i agreed to let you podfic my work that i realized it would be a hard task; the way i write is not palatable to a listening audience, mainly because i like to write in a style for variety of flow and breakage of sentence structure for a unique reading experience. so, i was worried. not because i thought this would turn out poorly, but for your sanity in trying to rework my… interesting phrased sentences and word choices. and i must say, you overcame this like it was nothing. i’m really, really impressed, and i’m so stoked to have such an amazing audiobook just. made for free. i love this world. anyway. i noticed a few times throughout the fic that you would laugh, which brought my pure bliss because honest to god, this fic was never one that i thought would be well liked. i literally just wanted to live out my fantasy of destroying an expensive car to the tune of “before he cheats” because i am a true southerner of the united states. i also just wrote down whatever popped into my head (partly because i thought this fic was well-beyond saving, and partly because i was already living out a fantasy, so might as well just write for myself rather than the convenience of others) which is where we get the segment about “The Human Centipede 2”. i think about this franchise, a franchise i will NEVER personally watch, about twice a year. apparently, the time in which this was written was the first time of the year in this ever-repeating cycle. i am sorry that you had to read those unsavory words out loud (no im not). moreover, for the subway bit, i really do just love subway. it’s my favorite fast food chain. so, obviously, every character i write will ALSO love subway. as they should. as all humans should. this was, also, my first time writing a homorous fanfiction, if that wasn’t already obvious. i normally write angst, and among that my 70-somehting works, probably one(1) is a fluff fanfiction. so, i could not PHYSICALLY restrain myself from writing a sliver of angst at the end. whatever. i don’t care. i cracked myself up the entire time writing, and now, listening to someone read my inane ramblings. i’m allowed a bit of angst. the main thing i was REALLY excited to hear in this video was the sound effects!!! i’ve been watching your other videos since you commented under my fic linking your channel, and i’ve absolutely become enamored with your work. i never used to really like audiobooks in general, but you’ve made it super easy to keep up with you and not get lost. and, specifically, i love your work with sound effects. safe to say, i was NOT disappointed!!! i loved every bit and piece of this audiobook, and you really, really do have a talent. since i’m here and have already rambled for too long, i would also like to say that i’ve been keeping up with your audiobooks of stormbringer. i probably won’t comment on those videos because this isn’t the youtube account that i actually use, so i’ll just say it here: you are doing a phenomenal job with stormbringer. i really can’t overstate it. i’m so happy you’re working on it because i haven’t been able to read it myself, so this is my first time consuming stormbringer, and you’ve made it incredibly enjoyable for me. super stoked for the next parts!!! if you are ever doubting yourself, just know that everyone here is really supporting you and that we all very, very much believe in you. if it’s alright with you, i would love to link this work on my fanfiction so people can read it! of course, if you publish a fanfic holding the link to this video, then i will link that, too! thank you so, so much for creating this. i feel like i’ve really made it as a fanfic author. wow.
