Vibration from wind kept causing my closed style turnbuckle to loosen and detach. One side just went flying into the air wildly with a bolt attached, banging into car hoods and walls. Good thing it didn't shatter a window. Considering locktite or some other option. Not sure if the wire would instill enough confidence.

Having the height variation on the rectangle sail certainly makes it look nicer. Unfortunately my garden is not level so im going to have to do some guess work with the height. This video was helpful though thanks

I recently started using Tenara. I began with #90 and had no problems on my Juki 1541S. Then I went to #138 for my boat cover and top work, and have problems with birdnesting on the underside no matter how I adjust tension on my bobbin and/or the top tension. I am using a #17 needle. Do I need to go larger in size? I have sewn with #138 polyester for years and have had no issues. I do not like to go larger in needle size than necessary as it can increase seam leaks when the hole gets larger. The #17 takes the #138 Tenara through the eye with no problems. What is going on? Thanks for any help you can give.

The shackle pin has a hole through it so you can lock it off and make it tamper-proof. Cable tie. Love these tutorials.

so are the shackel the same size as the turnbuckle? example a 1/4" x 4" turnbuckle then use a 1/4" shackle.
