The motor is in the rear, the gears are worn out and the gear on the motor axle is lose. That cause the jet engine sound. When the motor axle get hot by friction and expand, he find some grip every now and then. He is not running on motor power, but on friction pulling. New gears, new sled and a new motor anchor and he run like new. Those part ain't that expensive and still available.

You should buy a 4x6 or 4x8 peice of wood and find a place to put it, then build a nice layout

Come on man, get a good dcc system or atleast a sprog to program engines, its not hard. I'm 17 and I do complete decoder installs, advanced programming and complete rebuilds and modification of old engines. You just need confidence, a small screw driver and a soldering iron and you can it all! I know you can do it!

Get a the easy dcc system from cvp, trust me

Hey man, I actually bought the same item. And the Dash Cam you have in this video INDEED have a protective film over it. It's really tough to take off though. This video false, it's scratched but the protective layer hasn't been peeled yet. If you still have it check again. I thought the same when I received mine but both sides has the film and yes it was difficult to take off the film.

UPDATE; the locomotive should be delivered back to the seller today (9-2-2014) because he was SUPER-KIND enough to offer to re-program the DCC Equipped GP50 back to digital address #3 with his NCE DCC Controller from current #3150. Then I should be able to use it with my existing Bachmann EZ Command "single-digit" DCC Controller with no issues.

UPDATE; The locomotive should be delivered back to the seller today (Tuesday 9-2-2014) via USPS to be re-programmed to factor digital address of "3." Once that's done, the seller will ship it back to me (postage paid by me).

UPDATE; The seller used a NCE DCC Programmer to assign address #3150. I have Bachmann's DCC Controller which only allows for SINGLE digit number programming from numbers 1-9. The seller informed me of this a bit ago. I am taking the BN locomotive to Train World to have them reprogram it to #3 for Bachmann. SO-FAR-SO-GOOD. Great Seller ... very helpful.
