Man, this video could have been 10min long….

I would have loved to see an updated version so that ft2 owners could upgrade theirs without having to buy a whole new machine...it's a lot of work to dismantle and to build from scratch..that said, the pro seems pretty cool.

The back rest makes this machine very valuable. Good for isolation exercises.

Actually it doesn't prevent you from cheating at curls. You can still use body movement to get the weight up there. Not cheating is a matter of will power. Forget the armblaster. Just plant your elbows rigidly against your sides and force yourself to keep them there as you lift and lower the weight under control. So in reality arm-blasters are just unnecessary toys.

Looks very straight forward and you folks did a good job explaining with good visuals. I have one question, how often is this maintenance needed? I realize it's probably based off of use hrs. rather than calendar based.

I have powerblocks and have grown to LOVE the caged feel! But they do take time to make micro adjustments (one needs to remove everything to remove the weight cylinders). I think the best option is to have powerblocks for quicker changes and Ironmaster as a second set. Great for fast round robin workouts.

Hi... Helpful vid, thx ... Quick Q, I understand the towel process to clean the deck and belt, but is there a reason why wasn't it done a 2nd or 3rd time after (manually) rotating the belt. Wouldn't there also be dust and grime on the rest of the belt (underside) that would contaminate the just-cleaned deck? Just curious.

Does the 45lb grip plate have the same circumference as the 45lb bumper plate?

I was about to follow the instructions but checked the manual. My manual reads "Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform unless instructed to do so by an authorized service representative. Such substances may deterio-rate the walking belt and cause excessive wear. If you suspect that the walking belt needs more lubricant, see the front cover of this manual." It seems a bit odd. But my manual also includes pricing for a 3 & 5 year plan for preventive maintenance services. My nearest service location is 2hrs away. I also don't want to have to pay for something that is easy to do. Does anyone have any input? I have the Proform Pro 9000

Great review Sean! I’ve tried almost every single adjustable dumbbell on the market except for the Pepin Fast which I really want to get. Here’s my take: Overall best is a combination of a 5-50lb metal powerblock either personal trainer set or sport 50 plus USA Elite with stages 1-3 up to 90lbs. I have a set of ironmasters that go up to 120lbs but I rarely use them. I have them preset at about 60lbs as sometimes i like to use them for shoulder presses or chest presses but I find myself still using the powerblocks more. In reality, I will favor what is faster as my gym time is usually limited for maybe an hour to an hour and half max. The one thing I do like about the ironmasters is their lifetime guarantee. Also, its easier to put the dumbbell on the stand vs. powerblocks in their nested set of weights. Pepin seems to have a good mix of them with the Pepin Fast dumbbells. Nuobells I thought was one of the best designs out there but it didn’t last. The plastic parts broke after several months and I ended up selling them afterwards. But ya, great video and keep up the great reviews.

How tall is the is the user, I heard somewhere that if your tall this isn't a good machine, I'm 5'11 will it work for me

Actually the arm blaster is a huge compensation that prevents the maximal strength building benefits of curls.

Still the best two choices on the market. Nuobell uses cheap plastic cam followers that will break and can't be repaired. Ironmasters are most like real dumbbells will last a lifetime. But they aren't much faster to change than cheap spin-locks. Powerblocks are a lot quicker to change which isn't usually necessary but is a very nice feature to have. They will also last a lifetime, if you don't drop them. But some people don't like the way your hand is inside the handle. Which is best depends on what you want. I wanted quick change, so I went with Powerblocks. After more than a decade I don't regret it.

An advantage of the ironmaster dumbells system is that the weights can be used for their loadable ketteble and on a barbell. Very versatile. The other system is not as good in these respect
