The last of the Gauntlet Maps: USA! This one is by far hardest on insane difficulty. Again, you are able to play this map with 3 players... But it will probably crash, since there's just too much going on. So I recommend to play with only 2 players max if you want to complete a round. Well, here it is! The next Gauntlet Map for Contra X beta. This one is a bit harder than the GLA Gauntlet. Again it's for 3 Players, but the game can become quickly unstable at the 3rd stage of the map. So I actually recommend playing with 2 Players if you want to have a better experience. I make maps, so why not record some extra world building footage? ^^ This is the China Gauntlet for ContraX beta so far. It should be releasing soon, the map itself is done but gameplay is still unbalanced. Oh yeah and probably add another 6 hours on top for scripting alone. I didn't record the scripting part, since it would be pretty boring I guess.

Making Maps for Contra again after taking a break from it. I decided to make a AOA (Art of Attack) where you have to fight against all the GLA factions. And ranking up is a bit different, because you have to kill Generals to gain 1 Rank, instead of just killing units. You can play the map with 3 Players. @@NeoMaurice Banished is the name. But i must first upload it to cnclabs or another forum. In this map is also a stealth particle cannon amd GLA must also build powerplants. ^^ In my playlist is a video of this map.

This is pure cbt(not impossible tho) Was there a reason you didn't allow leveling up? Cause its extremely awkward that the only way you can deal with a karkarut (in my case the salvage) is with Dana since scorps are useless Nonetheless great job
Thanks for playing! Some balancing reasons, with early ranking you could just camp the incomming waves of enemies and power level your way to rank 5. For these kind of maps it's kind of required. GLA Gauntlet had a lot of early superunits, which got reduced in the remaining faction Gauntlets.
@@NeoMaurice fair enough can you modify so x amount of upgrades can be done after beating a boss? Or just give one per boss without the need to build anything? In that way it would kinda balance it out

Congratulations on the 500! 🥳 Perhaps you can do some tutorials on making Coop missions? We get a lot of people asking how to make them, I'm sure it would attract more attention than a regular tutorial and might help more people. I was thinking what might work is many short videos (2-5 minutes) that are more focused on specific aspects. Though it's up to you how you do things
Thank you! I was also thinking of making smaller videos where I show how to do some basic things, like transferring units, camera stuff, spawning loops... But yeah at some point I would also be able to show how to make Coop missions.

How do you make animations like this? It’s amazing
I wouldn't call it animation, since it's actually just multiple ingame cutscenes. It helps to have some knowledge of the in game editor and modding the game itself to add little details. Other than that, I just set up some waypoints and let objects follow it, after a timer do that etc... For getting ideas on the other hand, just browsing random voice lines and thinking of some scenarios can help a lot. Hope this was the answer you're looking for.
