Not sure if it was after that spectator crash or when the 2 drivers died but after 1 of those incidents the drivers hade complained before that of the safety issues and they came together and said to the FIA that they wouldent complete the remaining stages without added safety for everybody. The FIA responded saying that they hade to complete the Rally and they wouldent cancel it. The drivers and teams responded by packing all there stuff and they just left. A few teams stayed and most of them where local drivers or home country teams.

Group B was spectacular at the time, but even with modern safety regulations it should be noted, A modern WRC car is faster across the stage than the group B car was.

I don't think that Americans will really be able to get the Isle of man, I don't know if they'll get how narrow those roads are at those speeds!

Not all are racers, some are spectators others are bikers using the circuit when racing is not happening.

That rome crash was pretty beefy, seeing it from Buemi's onboard shows just how quick these sort of accidents can happen.

Group B was amazing I was in Jyväskylä The Thousand lakes rally in finland. It was awesome in ouninpohja see those gladiators, like Hannu Mikkola and Markku Alen of course the others, but in those times finns are the best

Group B was an arms race, pure and simple! and it was mental, so glad to have seen it live!

Half the fun of watching a rally is being roadside. If you drive a defined track, then that is counter to what rally is.

Well well well, they have both signed for 2025. Ollie for me is gonna be good! Not only has he already got two races under his belt but he’s joined a team near the bottom of the grid and one with a complete lineup change. He’s got little to no pressure on him. Obviously he will have pressure from the British media but compared to Kimi, it SHOULD be a lot easier to get things going and his feet under the table. Kimi however, I’m not sure. He crashes during his debut qualifying session which ok isn’t great but not the end of the world. But unlike Ollie, Kimi is going to have all the pressure. He’s driving for one of the most prestigious cars in the sport and not old that, he’s replacing one of the sports Hall of Famers and on top of all this, Toto has openly said he wants Max and Max was even asked by someone in the press room was he present during his teams talks with Mercedes rumoured to be contract negotiations. If true then Kimi needs to prove he deserves a seat over Russell for when IF and WHEN Max does join the team…

But I do have a bone to pick regarding Williams (Enjoy the read, it’s long…very sorry lol) Oh and out of curiosity, how long have you been watching F1? Love to hear when ppl started and how. [0:44] Logan was extremely lucky to be given a seat for this season. J.Vowels even said he wanted to give him a second chance to prove himself and he failed miserably. Was he rushed? Yeah maybe but at the end of the day, he wasn’t F1 calibre and it was about time he got the boot. You mentioned a few times about the team seeming to favour Alex over Logan when it came to upgrades. This is something every team does, from Haas to Aston Martin, from McLaren to Red Bull, every team gives their first driver upgrades a race or two (sometimes more) before the second. This is because you want to maximise the most out of your car and drivers. If your first driver is regularly finishing 5th-7th and second driver 9th-12th both with the same upgrades for example, and you get a new upgrade that’s guaranteed to add anywhere from 1-3 positions to the driver who gets it, why would you give it to your second driver who’s going to now finish 6th-9th? They’ll 8 or so points. An extra 6pts is good yea but your first driver can now regularly get 2nd-4th! That’s huge and an extra 8pts from 10 to 18! This also means podiums, more exposure, sponsorship and with that more money to help with next season. That’s obviously a dramatised example but that’s exactly why Alex gets priority, because he’s got a far better chance at scoring points than Logan. McLarens recent upgrades saw Lando get them a few races before Oscar and that’s a team that at the time, didn’t have a 1:2 driver lineup. They still prioritised their better driver. It’s the same situation when Alex crashed his car and received Logans, it’s because Alex is their best chance at scoring points. He didn’t this time round, ok, but he had a greater chance than Logan. It’s currently October 1st 2024 whilst I’m writing this and Logan’s replacement, young Franco Colapinto currently has 4pts in 3 races!! That is what you call a driver, he’s even had races comment on his driving during and after the race. He currently has no seat for 2025 as Williams as Carlos but James has apparently been in talks with KICK to try get him a seat there for next season. Who knows if it’s gonna be successful but that’s a racer any team will be fortunate to have. [5:40] Oh and as a side note, Bottas is pronounced “BOT-ASS” rather than “BOW-TAS” lol. Just something I picked up on but no sweat haha.

I can’t believe you haven’t picked up on the power of the BMW and the raw power he has to push the front end down and at times it’s all on the back wheel 💥💥💥.. and fighting that at such speed and to be the senior TT time record holder.. Need I say more !!!

The Last car he mentioned, the Lancia Delta S4, had around 550 bhp and could accelerate on gravel from 0-60 mph in around 2.5s, so yea, too quick. Thats hypercar levels of performance on tracks that can get as tight as tiny rural lanes. Bare in mind, modern F1 cars accelerate to 60 in between 2.1 and 2.7s
