@@grahammoore24 it's not necessary, but it was the first time I used liquid gravity and wanted to try it.

@@DoubleDown310 basicly you can put it together without any painting. The build itself is very easy, the only tricky parts where the headlights. The body is only clicked onto the chassis, so you can remove it later. I would start with a cheaper kit to practice a bit before you work on this special ones.

Do you mean cutting the sockets from the resin parts?

All of the tiger pattern are decals, only the grey, leading edges, etc are painted.

Thank you very much! 😀 I'll have a look! The Revell one is an older molding, I've heard it's not the best kit. The Tamiya kit was great, almost no putty was needed. I only added the engine hatch details (panel line and "screws"), the rest is oob except for the cables and wires in the landing gear bay. To be honest, I didn't want it to look so used, but I had made a mistake with the clear coat. After a few days I forgot I had used Alclad aqua gloss to seal the metal paint and sprayed a full load of GX100 all over the surface to prepare it for the decals. But it didn't react well with the aqua gloss.... so I sanded it all down a bit and coverd the rest with the heavy weathering. In my opinion it now looks better than a clean model, so I call that a happy accident 😅

Should be about 33cm. I started it but this kit killed my mojo a bit. Lot of flash and gaps in some areas. The decals are also a bit brittle after the years. The tail boom is almost finished but it's now a side project without video but I'll show the building process and the finished model in pictures later

Danke! Muss mir auch mal den Hasegawa Bausatz besorgen. Der soll ja um einiges besser sein was die Details angeht. Bautechnisch find ich aber den Revell Bausatz auch nicht schlecht. Relativ problemlos, Decals sind natürlich ne andere Herausforderung 😅

Thanks for the comment, this was my first try ever to do a video build. I'm far away from this filming techniques. At this time I only layed my Phone on my lamp and press record. I think my newer videos are a bit better but still not perfect. I also used a free video tool at this time with limited options. Now I have a better one. I also tried to film with my dslr but the videos are to big... 7gb for 30 minutes in HD. Maybe I'll try a mix of filming methodes for the detail work. You can watch my latest video and tell me if it's a bit better now if you want.

Thank you! The Tamiya kit is great, only lacks in details with the exhaust nozzle so I buyed a resin one. The static dischargers are made from a single wire of a speaker cable. I think it's 0.1mm. Currently I build the 1/72 P-51D from Tamiya, also a great kit!

Skill comes with time, I built my first model in the age of 8 that was over 30 years ago. I restarted in 2020 due the pandemic after a 10 years break. My skills improved a lot in this time.

@@Rockys_Models yeah indeed your skills are absolutely insane, as my first project I will put that aircraft in box sealed and will leave it in there until I finish my 10th project as that should take me a while then will dig it out and compare the skills I greatly believe I will be surprised with results bought a airbrush now that will be delivered tomorrow so my next project will try it on just doing some more research at the moment 😁

@@paulo3529 airbrush is a big improvement, I can highly recommend Mr.Hobby paints and leveling thinner. The Revell aqua paints are a bit difficult to spray. They clogg the nozzle very fast and I didn't have this issue with Mr.Hobby. You can use the leveling thinner for the complete range of their paints. Btw I still have my first model 😅

Die Qualität an sich ist im Original besser. Durch das hochladen wird es leider schlechter. Aufgenommen wurde in 1080p. Bin noch ziemlich am Anfang was das aufnehmen angeht. Werd aber zukünftig mal etwas neues versuchen was die Aufnahmemethode angeht.

Hasegawa looks much better in details than the Revell one. I wait for the "Rapid Pacific" version. At this time it's not available here in Germany.

I ordered it from 3ddruckp-warstat.de it's not a specific figure for this kit and I had to cut the legs to fit in the cockpit

@@Rockys_Models Hätte ich mich nicht getraut, den Wash auf den Decals wieder runterzurubbeln 😅 Bei diesen Holzzuschnitten frag ich mich immer wo die Leute das herkriegen; ich musste mir ein Schneidbrett aus der Küche ausborgen 😁

@@Starfishscalemodeling wurde zuvor 2 mal mit Klarlack versiegelt 😉 das Brett war von unserem Geländer für die Terrasse übrig. So Abschnitte heb ich mir immer auf 😅

Thanks! This is the 2014 mold, maybe yours was an older version (btw a nice kit with almost no issues). I practiced several weathering techniques on this one, maybe to much to be accurate but it was a good practice.

@@Rockys_Models Probably it was an older kit. I think it was maybe 2002, or maybe 2005, not so sure, but I'll check it out. Well, I have one weathering set that I bought, but I have never tried that as well. I know I once painted an exhaust pipe in color called rust brown I think. And it was for Swordfish plane, and for MAN lorry. The funny thing was that someone was joking with me, and the person told me in joking, that I have to replace the part, cause it's so rusty 😉😁😁😁😊🙃🙂.

This was only weathered with oils and post shading, for the chipping I used hairspray. I have a Takom Panther A which isn't finished yet, I try also my first rust effects on this and I used soft pastells for this in combination with flat clear and the result looks really nice! I still try and learn new techniques 😉

Thanks! Yes the paint schemes are beautiful but the "Bavarian Tiger" did not participate in the Tigermeet due to the pandemic. The TaktLwg 74 celebrated in 2021 the 60th anniversary and 5 years of full NTM membership, and therefore also this special foliation. I live near the airbase and saw it many times fly by in 2021

Thanks! Yes it's freehand airbrushed, 0.2 needle. Colours are Revell enamel for the green, Vallejo for the brown and Mr.Hobby aqueos for the black. Wash was costume mixed from oils and the weathering was done by pigments. The mud was also selfmade from plaster mixed with pigments. For the wet looking areas I only used gloss clear coat on top.

@@svenva yes, but usually I build aircrafts. This was my second finished tank and I have a 1/35 Panther also in work. Some 48 scale models are in my stash too but this is always a question of space 😅

Yes they will take some time and lots of softener ;) this helicopter shows the real scheme of the 2nd prototype of the EC-135. In the series this helicopter was a mix of Airwolf and Blue Thunder 😅

@@Rockys_Models I found another site describing the helis - looks great ! Blue thunder was a favourite, I built a 1:35 one back in the day .

@@Rockys_Models way out of my price range - I like about £20 ! people try to make too much money out of old kits ! a lot of the old stuff is very disappointing moulding = thick plastic , warping etc . but they tell you it's "collectable "

@@fredtedstedman that's true. Few weeks ago I bought the old Monogram 1/48 F-106. It's a old "vintage" kit but I only payed 30€ for it. Sometimes you can get a really good deal but usually they are overpriced

Thank you! Yes, the helicopters are beautiful, even with the problems. I don't know if one day there will be a version with the right shapes and rotor direction. Revell is the only brand that sells this kind of helicopters. A Tamiya version of this would be really nice!

Danke! Das waren damals noch Farben von Revell wobei das grün und braun selbst abgemischt sind. Hatte da nichts passendes. Der Metallbereich ist mit AK xtreme metal lackiert.

Ja war schon etwas aufwendig mit den Rotorblättern. Wurden ja dann auch noch neu graviert 😅 Als Gewicht hab ich Angelblei verwendet aber grundsätzlich nehme ich was passt, von Schrauben bis liquid gravity
