Vegas Earthquake 7/5/19 (Ridgecrest quake)
The 2nd earthquake in as many days struck Ridgecrest, CA, and it was greatly felt 144 miles away in Las Vegas, NV, as shown here in this clip from a visit to the grocery store in North Las Vegas. Lights, security cameras and aisle signs swayed above customers while the milk and juices shook side to side. The quake was a magnitude 7.1 on the Richter scale, 10x stronger than the 6.4 foreshock just 34 hours earlier on the 4th of July.

Judges letting the contestants get away with murder pretty much with some of these clues that don't get buzzed.
At 1:19 the contestant said “Things that you…” I am surprised he wasn’t buzzed for saying that.
I am a bit too, but he never got to the key word.

I’m shocked the “urgent” clue was allowed since it’s a synonym of emergency.
Yeah, they've really relaxed enforcement of that rule over various incarnations of the Pyramid. I like them being lax, but here it really was a pretty clear giveaway and not really a modifier we really use much for "doctor." My clue: a VERY SICK patient. A CRITICAL patient.
Urgent isn’t really a synonym for emergency, though its usage as a clue is wonky at best. You couldn’t get away with saying “Call 911, it’s an urgent.”
@@onnapnewourgent care and emergency care are often the same place. If you go to hospital and say you need urgent care….they’re not sending you to general practitioner
@@legendofzelda2324incorrect. Emergency care is life/limb and death situations and is performed at a hospital. Urgent care is a clinic and performs non-life threatening emergencies. Urgent care is the step between your normal doc and the ER.

This was the second time George Gray gets featured on Slow Motion Replay of the very same game. The first one was back in January 2014 where he falls after the contestant falls, Chrissy Teigen was a guest that time too.

Out of all of ABC's Game Show reboots (excepting for Wheel of Fortune), I think Michael does the best job of hosting. He embraces the method of building drama the way Dick Clark mastered. My only complaint about the show is...the contestants should be receiving clues in the Winner's Circle. Not the celebrities.
That was at the option of the contestant, for most of the Pyramid's various runs, wasn't it? Most would receive but not all.

Agree the hum is unnecessary but the beeping clock is the exact same sound effect that’s been used since 1973. The Osmond version didn’t use it and it removed a lot of the tension from the winner’s circle.
@@banjochris the beeping clock in the 1970s 1980s was indeed present, however in BACKGROUND NOISE not upfront punch your face shit..

We were in Vegas standing in line to go see a show when it hit,I didn’t think I’d ever experience an earthquake in my life it was kind of exciting to me lol I’m use to hurricanes down south here in Nola
I'm an old fan of the Pyramid show but have not watched the new version. Is it typical now for the contestants to give the clues in the winner's circle? In the old days they almost always chose to receive.
I believe they still can choose which side they want.
I think the issue is since they don't have returning contestants they can lose their possible one shot in the winner's circle by giving an illegal clue. By having the contestants give the clues any illegal answers are within their control.

Wow! I was close to Los Angeles, but it was felt all the way in Vegas!? My goodness.... this really shook a lot of places then even tho we’re both away from the epicenter. This footage amazes me to know Mother Nature can be powerful. I really hope that’s the end of the quakes. Did u feel the last quake at 6.4? Before this one as well?

My mother is hearing impaired and has been since birth. She went to TSD - Texas School For The Deaf. She graduated from high school and went to Gallaudet University with a Bachelor's degree in Library Science, then in the 1970's my mother received her Master's degree in Deaf Education. My mother worked at Georgia School For The Deaf from 1963 to 1996. She retir.ed with 33 years of service. When my mother adopted me in 1978, all the high school teachers were learning a new form of sign language called SEE instead of ASL. So growing up I have always used SEE sign language instead of ASL sign language. Now, ever since my mother retired she has been trying to get me to use ASL instead of SEE. But can not stop, because I am used to SEE not ASL.
