I'm playing this as well right now, currently in chapter 1-8 of Radiant Dawn and while it has a lot of issues I'm having a good time (for the most part). What really surprised me was the calm remix of Venus Lighthouse from Golden Sun playing in the main menu and when there's only one enemy left. As a huge Golden Sun fan I couldn't help but smile.

The game looks great but yeah it needed more time and testing, I would definitely check this out if all bugs are ironed out and things are more balanced.

This just makes me want to play the og version lol.

I'm the translator of this hack and I just wanna say thank you so much for giving this game a chance! Not many people would dare to open the can of worm that is Chinese hack, I say. Anyway if you read the first few oldest reply from that feu thread, you can see my review of this hack which at that time was only path of radiance. Trust me, this current patch is tamer than previous one that I played most notably: 1. Transformed Laguz enemies do not drop exp whatsoever, you need to kill them in human form to get their exp. 2. Unlike the current patch where transforming a laguz grants you a fixed stat boost, in the previous patch transformed laguz doubled their current stats which is pretty busted on late game. Also this is an eastern hack so conventional play is highly discouraged as the game somewhat nudges you into using save state and rng manipulate to have perfect level ups every time. If you don't have ike at 20 across the board you're basically gonna have a bad time. 29:26 Lastly you notice that this game is buggy as hell because it contains 2 game in one (fe9 + fe10 with transfers). Before they implemented fe10, the fe9 rom was somewhat stable which made translating job easier. Sadly however, we could only translate the items and UI when the two game merged due to insufficient rom storage. I'm sure a wizard programmer could squeeze up the rom but at that point, we were basically gave up on continuing the story translation. Once again, thank you so much for playing this game!

Oh hey, I know this hack, I've been helping the devs with their Engage Demake it make it as accurate as possible. I never got around to playing this, but it seems insane. I'm willing to bet many Chinese hacks are chaotic like this.

This mod has a lot of weird changes that I think should be their own game mode because they change what makes PoR what it is at heart.

I've helped the same dev team out with some music for their Engage Demake project, and they seem really nice, talented and hard-working. That said, this project definitely needed some more time in the oven.

Very few people are gonna associate the DS pirate sprite for a fighter. And the generic enemy fighter palette is also botched. Two of the last mistakes that I would make while editing a rom.

This mod looks like the modder went all-in on recreating things visually as much as possible, with no thought or consideration given to the gameplay impact of the tiles they were using. EDIT: Oh god, it's so much worse than I initially though. The randomly broken enemy stats and skills, characters with nonsensical weapon skills preventing them from using starting weapons, and so, so much more. lol

Yeah, if you try to make it more like the JP maniac mode, it's going to suck.
