Pretty bars!! I wonder if you can CPOP CASTILE BARS? 😮
Thank you. I honestly have never tried to CPOP Castile, so I dont know if it work. I just might have to try that out to see what happens 😁😁😁 I will be sure to bring along a camera so I can share the process 😍
@@rootedcoop awesome! I asked some soaping friends and they said you sure can, they do it❤️😉
@@dianehedricks7860 That gives me more confidence, I honesty think it will work well, it’s just not a method that I have tried with Castile 😁
Your video is fine! So what if it went a little out of focus 🤔 Thank you for stepping out and sharing your craft with us 😊 I love triple milk soap ... never thought to split and color it.
Thank you for your kind words. This has been as I go approach to my channel. It’s getting there, thank you for your support it means a lot to me 😃
Do you use 50/50 on the salt?
Pretty!!!!
Thank you 😊
This is definitely staying ROOT! Great option for me to get started! Thanks for the help!
Aww thank you
Stay clean! That was nice! Good video! Inspiring! Shalam
😁😁🙏
Thank you for this video 🙂 I've been making soap for many years, not a lot of soap as other people, but still quiet a bit, because I don't sale soap but from the beginning I learned that a stick blender or by hand would be the best solution because a hand mixer would put a lot of tiny air bubbles in the soap, which is nothing wrong but will make the soap float, so I never use a hand mixer ... True or false? 😀 BTW my stick blender I had in the house back then (about 13years ago) was a stick blender purchased at a garage sale for $2 and is still in use today 😀 so I think for soap equipment garage sale and second hand stores are a good option 😀 Happy soaping! ❤
Yes… absolutely!! Thrifting is a great way to get a stick blender. There is no need to purchase a new one at first. As for the hand mixer making the batch float… I have heard that as well that it may result in the bar floating. Which either way, sink or float is not the end of the world. However, this was my first batch that I used a hand mixer on, mainly just wanted to test it out, 😁 Well it did the job. As for floating, this batch did not float. So, I don’t know if my results are typical or if I would have had different results if I would have mixed to a medium to heavy trace. I may revisit this in the future to see if I get different results. So stay tuned😁 Thank you for your comment and happy soaping
Thank you so much for the information Please how long does it take to reach trace with the hand mixer? I really want to start soap making but I don't have stick blender and it is costly here.
Thank you for your question. I will do my best to answer. This particular batch came to trace for me in about 10-12 minutes with the blender. However, this was a bit more than a light trace, as I wanted the mix to be a heavier trace for this batch. Trace, is not typically measured in time, but rather measured by when the visible traces are noticed when stirring the mixture. This can be different times for different recipes, or even climate conditions in different batches of the same recipe. Good luck with your soaping journey😁😁 Stay Rooted and Embrace the Suds 😀😀
@@rootedcoop Thank you so much I appreciate. God bless you
Tell cure time?
Sure… I typically let the batch sit untouched for 4-6 weeks. The cure time is the loss of water weight. Thanks for your question 😁
@@rootedcoop I really liked your videos I am very new in soap making but very enthusiastic.I wanna more guidelines from experts like you.
yusssss so relaxing #soapheads
🥰😁😁😁
Thank you so much for the upload!!🩷🩷🩷👍🏿✌🏾
😁😁🥰
You did a great job. Volcanos scare me but you did awesome! Maybe I should try again! ❤
They scared me at first and usually had reinforcements standing by to help ( my husband) lol 😂 . After a few batches the volcano doesn’t bother me. Don’t give up 😁😁 Thanks for your comment and support 🥰
This process is not for me I’m afraid. It is to long and laborious and the finished soap is bland and dull. With all due respect the video was very interesting and knowledgeable, but for all that hard work I want a pretty and vibrant soap at the end. X
I use this method for some of my batches. I like the challenge 😁. I also use this as a way to demonstrate different methods of soap making. It is definitely a workout for these batches 🤣🤣. I’m happy that you found it valuable and it’s perfectly ok if it’s not for you.
Your videos are so nice to watch. Thank you for explaining things as you go! Do you usually use clay, and save colloidal oats for an oat & honey soap?
I usually use clay with all my milk recipes as it adds some exfoliation to the bar and helps anchor the fragrance. I sometimes use it in the oats and honey recipes, but not always. And I tend to keep the oats for the oats and honey recipe. No particular reason, but that’s how I have been doing it. Hope that helps and thank you for nice words and support.
I have a question. I was making CP soap the other day. My oil was around 120 and my lye around same temp. When I poured my lye in my whole batch completely when so thick I couldn't hardy stir it. Is used a soap Cal. What happened? It was a HOT mess!
Omg I bet you did have a hot mess… there are several variables that could possibly have happened here. I honestly don’t know… different oils and fats react differently with lye so that could be the case, the lye solution could have been a bit to concentrated, or it could be just a bad batch… and that’s ok too. We have all experienced bad batches through the learning process. You might play around with your recipe and adjust the oil ratios and try again. I have had batches that just didn’t work out but slight modifications through soap calc and they turned out great. Don’t give up and happy soaping 😁
Perhaps it was too hot, because heat can speed up saponification. Try to mix in at maybe 100 degrees F (45-50deg C), also check on your soapcalc recipe it's high in stearic acid (also can speed up saponification), check the saturated fats vs unsaturated fats ratio too, I think having a higher saturated fats (butters & coconut oil, palm oil) can also cause it to thicken up fast.. There's a number of different things that could have caused that. Those are some of the few
Great video ❤
Thank you!!
I really love with hthp that additives are added after saponification and that they're not going through the chemical change.
That is one benefit to adding them late. 😁 thanks
I’m a die hard hot process method soaper due to dreaded soda ash..Due to my extreme impatience, High Temp Hot Process has been my choice of soaping from the very beginning in 2021. Thanks for your video😊
I experience my fair share of impatience most times😁. Thank you for your comment and support 🥰
SOOOOOO ADORABLE!!!! I love it❣️
Just loving these neon micas from Glitter Chimp 🥰
@@rootedcoop they turned out gorgeous!
Can't wait to see this!
😁😁😁
Where can we find purple maca powder?
Hello thanks for your comment. You can check out Glitter Chimp at glitterchimp.com They have so many variations to choose from. This particular mica is from them and is called Power to the Purple -mica. If you would like… you can use my code at checkout to save 10% on your order. Just enter RootedCoop10 I love their products and they have amazing service.
Hi. What is the difference between this hot process without using crockpot and another hot process method using crockpot? Using crockpot should be more convenient? Thanks for your video tutorial ❤
Hello and thank you for your comment, question and kind words 🥰. So I will try to answer as best I can. Either method works great and both yields a similar bar of soap. Countertop is a way to get to the result, if you don’t have a crockpot that you want to dedicate to soaping, or don’t want to make the investment to just try it out. The countertop method is a quicker way to get to end result, but it has a drawback of having to be right there with it. The crockpot method takes more time so keeping an eye on it while it goes through the stages could be inconvenient. I prefer this method mainly because I want to get to the end result quicker. So either way is great, it just depends on your preference. Thank you so much for the question 😃
These are soooooo cute❣️❣️❣️
Thank you and they smell amazing😁😁
@@rootedcoopwho made the magnolia scent? I absolutely love magnolia scent also❣️
The Magnolia scent was from Aztec Candle Supply
@@rootedcoop I bet it smells wonderful!
I really like it a lot
It was muddled. You can’t see the white and barley the green 😢. Maybe it was over swirled.
I don’t disagree, sometimes those few extra stirs mixes the swirls to well. But it still turns out really good, like a happy accident 😁
Excellent video and stunning soap. I love the look of hot process soap and especially countertop style, there's just something about its texture from gel that I prefer in my shower (& aesthetically) over cold process. And I love cold process a lot so that's saying something😂. I really appreciate the effort you went to put this video together.
Aww thank you ☺️
I love the look of this soap! I use palm oil too and I really like it.
Thank you! I really like palm oil too, it adds so much to the bar.
I’m super excited about this process, there are videos out there but not in real time like yours. I’m hoping this method will help my E/O soap to last longer. Thanks for sharing 💕
Thank you, I am so happy you enjoyed the video. It is possible that the EO would last or maintain longer using this method, since the EO doesn’t go through the saponification process. I have had good results with both EO and Fragrances that don’t do well with other methods or tend to be light fragrances once complete. The best way to know for sure is to give it a try and see how it does with this method. I would love to hear how your batch turns out 🥰 Happy Soaping 😁😁😁
Gorgeous! Hugz, Tree
Thank you 😁 this one turned out wonderfully
What a beautiful color!!!
The color definitely made a come back 😁 thank you
I use my HP soap at 1-2 weeks and don't see a huge difference than at 6 weeks. Thank you for this video! I am excited to try this method.
I have done 1-2 weeks also and don’t see anything to stress over. I do the extra time basically for extra piece of mind. I hope you enjoy trying this method😁😁 Happy soaping
These are SO PRETTY!!!! I love the outcome! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!
That triple milk really traces fast.
Have to work quick with it for sure… but it makes such a great bar 🥰
PRETTY!!!
Thank you 😁❤️
Merhaba bnu yapmayı düşünüyorum lütfen alt yazı seçeneklerine Türkçeyi de ekler misiniz
I would be happy to add Turkish, if I can, to the list. Also, happy to have you watching the soaping journey. 😁❤️

They did turn out pretty!!!

OMG this was hard to watch as the camera couldn’t stay focused it really messed with my eyes, lol. And the OVER blending was crazy. Just relax on the heavy blending….otherwise not bad
Nice colors.
Thank You!
PRETTY! I bet it feels AMAZING!!!!❤❤❤
So luxurious 🥰😁
