Growing up in the church I just assumed all Christians believed that our body of flesh and bones will be resurrected and immortal. It did not take long to find out that all other Christians I have talked to, and I've talked to many thousands, not only do not believe their flesh and bones bodies can be in heaven, but they are very hostile when I brought it up. So I resurched. I studied the word of God. I saw what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:50 where he said" flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God." But I saw the many other scriptures that teach that the graves will be opened, and give up the dead, in the Bible, and how Jesus won victory over the grave, that the last enemy to be defeated is death, that both the just and the unjust will be resurrected in the Bible. I wondered how all or almost all Christians can say our bodies cannot be in heaven, because of one scripture they must not understand correctly. Then I read in Revelation 11 how the Bible speaks of two prophets who will add 3 and a half years of new scripture to the Bible, showing they are wring about the Bible being complete too, and how those two prophets will go to heaven in their bodies of flesh and bones. I learned that the term "flesh and blood " in 1 Corinthians 15: 50 means mortal. Paul is teaching that no mortals can inherit the kingdom of God, you must be immortal, which is a body of flesh and bones which is kept alive by spirit,. That is why Paul calls an immortal body a spiritual body in 1 Corinthians 15: 50, but an immortal body is not a spirit, as in when Christ appeared in the middle of a closed room after His resurrection, and said" Handle me, and see, for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have." In Romans 6:9 we read: Christ hath dominion over death, he dieth no more" In Luke we read about Christ's account of the Rich man and Lazarus, and we see that we absolutely do not need a body to live. We are intelligent spirits. Why then would we want a body? It would have to be able to do something that we cannot do as a spirit only. Jeremiah was ordained and sanctified as a spirit. We sang and shouted for joy as spirits when the earth was created, spoken of in Job 38:4,7. We fought in a war in heaven as spirits. See Revelation 12. Christ created heaven and earth as a spirit. Why would he need a body. The only things we cannot do as spirits are, eat, drink ,and copulalte. Would God allow a person to have an immortal body that cannot be killed, even by Him, that has the ability to copulalte, who has not repented of all sins that violate the law of Chastity as a mortal? No! This is the purpose of mortality, to prove we can be trusted with an immortal body that has sexual organs, like Adam and Eve had in the garden. We can even repent as a spirit. But there must be something we need a body to repent of or there would be no need for mortality. A Celestial body is an immortal body that has sexual organs. A Terrestrial or Telestial body is a body that is immortal, but has no sexual organs.

Doctrine that proves the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day are true. 1) We are intelligent spirits, and do not need a body to live. See account of Lazarus and the rich man by Jesus in The Gospel of Luke. 2) everyones body of flesh and bones will be resurrected and immortal. Considering we do not need a body to live, why would we even want a body? Ti do something we cannot do as a spirit only. Jeremiah was sanctified and ordained a prophet as a spirit, so we do not need a body to be sanctified or ordained. Christ created heaven and earth as a spirit. All the sons of God sang and shouted for joy as spirits when the foundations of the earth were laid. See Job 38 4,7 The rich man was tormentedas a spirit, and Lazarus was comforted as a spirit. We fought in a war as spirits. In short, we can do everything as a spirit, except have an eternal companion and everything that goes with it Now you see how important the teching that everyone's body of flesh and bones will be resurected and immortal. No other church teaches that, because they misundestand 2 Corinthians 15: 50 that says "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" Jesus showed His hands and feet and said ,A spirit hath not flesh and bones as ye see me have " after He was resurrected. Romans 6:9 states: " Christ hath dominion over death, he dieth no more". In Revelation 11 we see two prophets will go to heaven in their bodies of flesh and bones, 3 and a half days after the lay dead in the streets. They also speak new scripture for 3 and a half years, thus adding to the Bible, after Revelation. Revelation 12 soeaks of war in heaven. As a result of the war Satan and his angels were cast down to the earth. They are still here. Every time you read of a person being possessed by a devil they are being possessed by one or more of those spirits cast out of heaven. There was a man in the tombs cutting himself and he broke fetters. Christ asked the name of the devils possessing the man. They said what? They asked Christ to be cast into the herd of swine, which He allowed. Could those devils have a body of their own? No. How important is a body to them? So important they would rather possess the bodies of pigs than not have a body. Are they jealous of us because we have a body and they can never have one? Yes! Do they hate us because we have a body and they can never have one? Yes! Are they at war with us because we have a body and they can never have one? Yes! We have a body, because we had faith as the sons and daughters of God that Jesus would live a perfect life. We were there. Satan had fear. Fear that he would fail if given freedom of choice. God knew Jesus would not fail, because He always expressed faith in the face of fear. Satans weapon is fear. Faith in the face of fear. This also shows that Joseph Smith taught correctly that God is not a Spitit only. but has an imortal body of flesh and bones. Not having a body is a punishment. God does not suffer the punishment of the devils, by not having a body. This shows the rest of the churches are wring, thinking God is a Spirit.

Not to be mean but....yeah I get it. I can't count how many "lessons" I sat through in Sunday School and Priesthood meetings back when I was a member. And that was long before they cut the time the wards spend in their meetings.

Peter said Paul is hard to understand to people a lot more familiar with the Savior and His Apostles than you and I yet all of Christianity has decided Peter is not talking to them. News flash. You do not understand Paul! Paul is not talking about all works when he says works cannot save you, he is only talking about the works of the Law of Moses. The works of the Law of Moses are the letter of the law, whereas Christ's teachings are the spirit of the law. Paul teaches that the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Paul also teaches that the law is flesh, because it can be kept by the flesh without being kept by the spirit. Paul showed up on the scene many years after Christ went back to heaven. Only Jews were Christians prior to Cornelius. Jews were taught to not even speak to Gentiles. The Samaritan woman by the well was astonished that Jesus would even speak to her. Jesus told His disciples to not go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans. Gentiles were considered filthy uncircumcised people, and it would have been a real challenge for a Jew to sit next to a Gentle at church. All of the Jewish Christians were circumcized, and ate a kosher diet, and kept the feasts and festivals of the Law of Moses, they only stopped with the sacrifices under the law. Some of the Jewish Christians taught the Gentile Converts that they must be circumcised to be saved, others taught that they also had to keep all of the law to be saved. Then came Paul onto the scene. His entire life and ministry was a war against the Jewish Christians that taught parts or all of the works of the Law of Moses were necessary for salvation. Paul explained that even though he kept the law blameless, he was still full of all kinds of spirit sins, such as hate, envy, back biting, lust, etc. Paul understood that Christ's teachings require a person to change from their spirit or inward man to keep them. As in a person might never kill, and keep that part of the Law of Moses perfectly, but they are not saved from sin, because they hate. However, when Paul obeyed Christ and loved even his enemies he was saved from sin, and forgiven because of the blood of Christ, and not by paying for his sins through animal sacrifice, lest any man should boast. That is what Paul means by free gift. No more payments for your sins, only repentance and obedience to Christ through faith. Paul realized that he was not saved by not committing adultery, because he still had lust, but when he obeyed Christ's teachings to not even lust after a woman who was not his wife, he was saved, delivered from sin, and would never commit adultery. That is why Paul says I glory after the law of the inward man. Paul calls the Law of Moses the letter, he says the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Paul calls the law flesh, because it can be kept by the body, without engaging the spirit inside a person. If every time Paul says works you add of the law of Moses, even when he says righteous works, as in Titus, you will begin to understand Paul. We must obey Christ by obeying His spirit law, repent, and be baptized by someone holding the priesthood of God, like John the Baptist, or the apostles, to be saved, and we must endure to the end. Put earn salvation back into your vocabulary, because the purpose of mortality is to show we can be righteous parents of spirit children that will go through their mortality on world's without number. We must earn that position, it is not just given to us

Jesus has given us the gift of salvation if we repent and accept him as our savior, its not through works or perfection, we cant try to buy salvation through these acts.

@@GarySaint-xm6tr Salvation is a gift that cant be earned through our works. If that were the case then we’d be putting a price to Jesus’s sacrifice at the cross. No amount of works can be enough to pay the cost of his sacrifice. Therefore through works we will not be saved. As a believer in Jesus Christ, believing that there’s only one God, none came before him and none will come after. It’s through my repentance and acceptance that He is my Savior that i am saved. Believers should walk in relationship with him and by our fruits we will be known we are believers but thats aside of salvation. Salvation was paid for at the cross. No amount of works can earn our salvation.

@@hellomynameis5955 And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him” (Heb. 5:9). The Bible teaches that there will be many false Christs and many false prophets in the last days. Christ means anointed of God, so anyone who speaks as if they are anointed of God to interpret scripture is asking as a Christ. This is how your interpretation of the Bible shows you are a false Christ. Because your interpretation does 🚫 t require a person to obey Christ to be saved, whereas the church that teaches it is necessary to obey Christ to be saved is The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, which shows it is the true anointed one of God. Your incorrect understanding of Paul is so ingrained within you that you refuse to see the truth. Humble yourself and pray to ask if the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints is true.
