    Thanx for the recs. Slewfoot reminds me of ghost stories my grandma used to tell us when she was alive. Here in the Caribbean, certain parts are big on all things supernatural, and seeing the pics evoked feeling of somewhat nostalgia, in me. Cause we absolutely believed those stories as kids. The cover pic is a depiction of one of the entities whose stories somehow stayed with me till adulthood. So it was actually a tad unsettling to see it for a minute 😅 (it is 11 at night, and I'm all alone in my apartment... who's scared, not this gal 😅)

I have had very similar frequent, urgent peeing issues and have been working with urologists for several years to find a solution. Now my options have narrowed to having Botox injected into walls of my bladder with follow up injection every six months, or having the Axonics treatment. Your presentation makes me lean to Axonics. I’m in the middle of the advanced trial, to help my urine retention problem. I can feel the pulses from the device in the proper place, but so far it has not helped. My Dr and Axonics rep have been wonderful, and the rep has contacted me everyday to check on me. I’m glad that you’re seeing good results, but I’m afraid that it doesn’t work as well for retention. I have 5 days left in the advanced trial, and I’m still hopeful that I’ll see improvement. I had very little pain when the inserted the wires for both trails, and have not experienced much pain during the trials.

    You should have been put to sleep! Where they go is way to deep to topical numb. Sorry that happened. As a follow up I was put to sleep in a surgical suite. They had a fluoroscope to use for wire placement. The permanent one was in the same surgical center then again to confirm lead placement. As a retired RN placing wires near nerves that you can’t see is tricky. So the physician needs the fluoroscope.

    • @Spookwithme

      For the trial, you don't get put to sleep. They use numbing medications burning had a high tolerance to that, that's why I felt it, they had to give me alot of numbing meds.

    Hi, I received the Axonics implant about a year ago. It’s working ok for the most part except at night & I think I’m waiting too long to wake up because when I do I’m dripping as I run to the bathroom. I’m also experiencing urgency at times. I have to have a revision next month because the implant has risen to just below the skin & I can feel it, almost flip it over & it’s also painful at times. The wire has moved & twisted as well. They are going to switch sides & put it deeper inside. You mentioned different program levels. I’m not familiar with this. I’ve only spoken to my Axonics rep twice and I had to contact them for answers to my questions. What are the different levels & where do you find them? I wonder if adjusting/changing a level will help eliminate the urgency to go to the bathroom? Thanks for explaining it to me.

    • @Spookwithme
      @Spookwithme 7 месяцев назад

      Hi, you can only go back and forth between 2 levels on your remote, if u need to change programs then you have to call your rep to make an appointment and they can do it. Sometimes changing the stimulation helps but not always. It shouldn't be flipping. I work out and do all kinds of shenanigans and it doesn't move. Let your rep know of your concerns ok 👍

    Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. I had the trial procedure done 3 days ago. I had the exact same experience as you felt everything, yelled out, crying. I wasnt given any more local anesthetic. It was a horrific experience. I was in a great deal of discomfort immediately afterwards only Tylenol was given. It is working wonderful. I have to question how often this happens. Absolutely no mention or offer to have more anesthesia was given despite every poke with needle my body jumped, crying out in pain. I truly dont want to discourage anyone from trying. I am having wonderful results and will most likely have permanent one seeing I would be sedated. Im thankful you were given more anesthesia. I have oab and its greatly reducing the bathroom runs. Once again I dont want to discourage anyone but do feel this should be talked about as to what could be experienced.
