Good luck with everything my brother be safe out there
Where you at bruh? No more videos for the following months?
@@megasmoothone lost my motivation, I’ll get back on it soon. Thanks for following!
Good to see you’re still driving. Noone really posts these hot shot things on you tube anymore. Most are 5-6 years ago.
Don't listen to these clowns with the negative comments. Work hard and then get your Authority. It's easier than you think to get. You're commercial insurance covers your truck so I'm not sure why you're still paying for regular insurance on your truck.
I started hot shot worked for a year ended with 84,000 in dept good luck brother my start up was similar to yours i was hauling cars have ram 3500 but single rear wheel so couldn't hold more than 2 cars without being overweight on rear axle but cars there is so much work and money to be made average 5,000 a month for car space so definitely need 3 cars to make a profit
Good luck bro. It’s a big investment, all I would advise is to ignore all the negative comments and keep grinding. I’m about to start as well. 😎
Nailed it.
Can you please share your equipment, thanks in advance
bro Ima give you some free game here. The money is in the short hauls, fk that all over the country sht. You wanna make as much as you can per mile. The longer the run chances are the lower the rate will be not unless you're hauling a hot load. You said you live close to Dallas then you should be able to get some decent loads in between say Texas, Oklahoma, Lousiana and maybe 2 more states. maybe you won't be doing a lot of loads but you have to look at the rate per mile. Back in the day we had guys doing a lot of Brick loads down there must be big and refracturing down there If i'm correct. They were paying good too. I've drove big rigs, brokered and owned. You also have to think outside the box a little. Look at the trends down in your area for product that can be hauled with your type of equipment. Then see if you can get some loads on your own. It's a tough busiess but you can do it if you really want to but you have to be smart about it. Good luck to ya
I hate that truck stop in Nashville 😂😅
My opinion.....i agree with Not doing CDL Hotshot but Non CDL Hotshot has its place..i ....Main reason is the Dually Pickup truck is not built to haul heavy day after day....equipment will not hold up...will need constant maintenance......If you are starting a Trucking business why limit yourself from growing your business because you cant scale weight.......the name of the game is capacity......48Ft 48 thousand pounds.......i starting my trucking business doing Hotshot...after 2 years you will understand a Pickup truck is not made to complete with Semi.......get a daul tamdem semi from The start...lease on learn the business and grow from there.....
Keep on rolling 👍
This dude is gonna go broke 😭 way too big of an investment when starting out.
How did you get the truck and trailer with no down payments
@@BRAAVO_DA_KID co-signer and got terrible interest rates
Do you have your own MC authority?
No, not currently. I wanted to learn the ropes first and lease on with a company.
Not yet
holidays are the worst when timing doesnt work out. but hey, yall made the best of the situation, sometimes life just throws you curveballs and not every load is going to spot on.
when I had insurance on my truck I was told I didn't need insurance on the trailer since my trucks coverage covered it since it would be attached. the commercial insurance should be had through private party(self). it maaaay be cheaper.
I'm about to start HOTSHOT what the BEST TRUCK AND TRAILER LENGTH to start with?
dually and 40ft flat/mega ramp trailer with 10k or 12k axles. thats where id start. also class A license to allow you to drive more weight since there's more money with class A hauling.
I’ll be honest, it’s pretty rough out here. I would seriously consider all other options before diving into this.
Nice how long are u out for
Until I’m dead I guess lol
@@Jordanwingsit how many days/weeks are you gone from home
Do you all team drive?
Nope just me out here
Way back in the mid-late '90s Nashville was absolutely horrible! I rode the Greyhound bus from Chicago to Florida to pick up a truck and the bus driver told us to be very careful. I can't even imagine how bad it is now!
It’s awful
I would not run the north east. Screw ny and nj
@@davidburchell2882 man it’s the worst, New York City is a nightmare 😂
@@Jordanwingsit those people up in those states don't act right.
@@davidburchell2882 my first time in NY I got flipped off 50 times in the first 15 mins and the turned around by the police for not using the Lincoln Tunnel. Be sure you don’t use google maps going through there with a trailer

1.50 a mile traveling 60 or 70 miles an hour on the highway lol ur making mad money and hour
Like 90 to 110 bucks an hour lol
Just got into hotshot. I appreciate your videos. Thank you.
Can you explain why you have to keep track of what states you got fuel in?
Fuel tax
Fuel tax
I honestly think that you can safe a lot of money on small things. Pre-cook your food at home, use truck stops for shower and laundry. Hotels are going to run you a lot of money
Jordan, do you have a CDL?
Yes I do
So I can have regular insurance for when I get my equipment? Or was that commercial on the truck or commercial on the truck? I’m sorry I just don’t understand
I am just running insurance under the company I leased on with now, I’m not 100% on the correct way to do it. You do need commercial insurance though. Normally 1 mil truck/100k cargo
Amazon like 2k
Great to meet you as well
Good luck on the business! Why are we paying so much for insurance if you are leased on?
@@russellvillalba1493 Im not sure, that’s what they told me it went up to get added to their policy.
2,500 dwn and 1,500 a month to lease on to someone Na . File for business name LLC through your Secretary of State $150 You could of get your own Us dot number for $50 and could file for Mc number for $550 and BOC3 .and proof of insurance and you good. Good luck out their Owner op trucking is school of hard-knocks. I got my CDL A and own authority back when I was 21 years old 25 years still rolling. Best of luck to you God bless brother.
I am trying to get to that point, I leased on to learn the ropes. It is near impossible to make it work leased on though you’re right about that
I agree with him i filed my own llc and got plenty of work within 3 months
Many Blessings to you an the fam. That lifestyle is not for the weak.. Blessed to make it out.. 🙏🏾
What you do now ?

Who did you lease on with?
Nice
The best advice I can give a person thinking about hotshot is DON’T. If you are smart enough to get your CDL and Authority than you are smart enough to do ANYTHING. Trucking is the hardest industry you will ever work. If I can’t talk you out of it at least let me talk you into a dual tandem sleeper with box van or flat bed trailer. No step deck, no tankers. The first audit you get from DOT will make you quit anyway. You will get audited. 25 years Class A double, triples and tankers. Authority 2004-2005. STAY OUT OF TRUCKING. I went to school to be a school teacher and have an HVAC contractor company. DO NOT START A HOTSHOT BUSINESS! Get a dual tandem sleeper cab and a flat bed or box. Get a good used trailer from a place Penske. Find a good used truck on market place. For all the money you have borrowed you can get into big money with a real truck. That crew can dually just won’t haul the weight or go the miles. It will always be breaking down just like a big truck. Turbos, injector pumps, tires, wheel bearings. Those little trucks are not made to run all day long everyday.
It is nasty how we treat drivers and their equipment. Racket for gov - despicable. Between LED lights and other modern equipment there is not much to find wrong anymore but it just means the gov gets unreasonable now - as it is about money instead of safety. Drives up cost for everyone.
Hey bro do you have a instagram that I can write you ?
I'm looking to possibly get into hotshot ting, also from Fort Worth, what company do you lease on
what's the average amount of weight for your loads on cdl set up
@@raull3365 I keep it under 15k usually, on average the loads are around 12k I imagine
Nice set up! how do you keep it cool while sleeping?
@@gustavolozano2618 Thanks! If I’m up north I try to just keep the windows down if I’m hanging out but most of the time I have to just keep the truck running.
Hey, do you have CDL to run this setup?
@@dmitriyzhuravlev3853 yes sir
Thank you for the information!
People only hear what they want. I watched this video and decided to make a video explaining what a driver really needs to do to get going in hot shot.
I have a CDL wanted to get started in hot shot did you have any experience in flatbed, or how to tarp and strap the loads?
@@diontagant9944 it’s a tough road, honestly I’m rethinking getting into this. I grew up on a farm hauling hay but I didn’t have tarp experience. I just watched some RUclips videos on the right way and the rest is pretty much straight forward. Pretty much anything I was lost on I was able to find answers on here.

Hi what do you think about the silverado 3500 is a good truck to star work
@@JoseGarcia-ry1lk I like them, I prefer Ford though. I have family that hauls heavy loads of hay everyday and they’ve been through just about every truck. They say the new fords are the best they’ve ever pulled with and I agree with them.
I also agree on the new Ford trucks. We use 6.2 gas V8 Fords at my job since 2016 . @@Jordanwingsit
I’m starting this process but I’m taking my time. I got my CDL first and I’m currently in diesel school. I plan to buy a cascadia cash. I was thinking of getting a dually for my dad so he can help me
@@andyuxmal make sure you do you homework, this has been extremely hard for me to get going. I wouldn’t have made it without friends support and support from the company I leased with as far as money. Rates are stupid low and I’m having to deadhead a lot just to find avg loads. Good luck to you and feel free to reach out if you need any tips!
