    Your Carbon Monoxide (CO) monitor should be mounted a low as possible (Appx 12 In above Floor) as CO gas is heavy and sinks to the floor! Smoke detector goes high as smoke rises!

    Thanks Ruff for the video. Sometimes I can resolve my issue quickly using your method, other times I'll add one additional step by pressing the key fob alarm off button (door open, high beam headlights on, foot on brake, press disarm on key fob). Yesterday nothing was working, so I replaced the key fob battery. I may still need to later replace the combination meter for dashboard, but replacing the key fob battery has worked twice now for me.

      Well, that’s awesome. I’m glad that you figured out a way to keep it working. Maybe other people are read this comment and they will do the same thing. I’ve replaced my combination meter with a used one and I still have the same issue. I myself have to, put in a rebuilt one. When I get the time, I will put it in and make the video.

    Hello, may I have a question, I have damaged the abs on a 2009 Toyota Camry hybrid, can it be repaired, or what part of the unit is being replaced, what car is it suitable for too?

    • @Ruffjourneys
      @Ruffjourneys 7 дней назад

      Anything can be repaired. It’s just how much it’s gonna cost. Is it your whole ABS system? Is it a ABS sensor? You have to see what part in the system that is bad.

I thought about replacing the dash board so I bought a used dashboard but with these tricks the board works fine, that means the dashboard itself is not the problem? I was not sure about that, even if I replaced with a used one the. what if the same problem happens? that’s why I still did not replace it, yet. Just saw this channel and subbed, seems like genuine content. And i gotta lot to learn. Im looking at box trucks right now. Only thing stopping me from buying one is i cant find out where to have it parked at for a few months. Like where to pay.i live in a city rn and cant find lots and the lots of land for sale are only for residential use. Only have car storage but that wont serve my purpose during those months. I need help on what to do. With that and while its parked,ill be going thru all videos to help me build it up.

      If it were me and I bought a box truck, I would be looking around at semi truck parking places. They are usually very inexpensive. A lot cheaper than storage room facilities. I would definitely go with the box truck instead of a bus, but that’s just me and my opinion. Thank you for watching. Also thank you for subscribing. Keep watching. I have a lot more future builds coming.

    Just going to add my experience under here. Last night, my gen2 wouldn't turn off without doing the whole 'hold and double press power override shutdown', and when I tried this for my dash it wasn't working. So I just shut it off and waited till morning. Go out today, and the car turns on and off, no problem, still no dash displayed though, tried these instructions and it worked first time.

    A question I have for people converting enclosed trailers into Campers or tiny homes..... on the inside they use exterior grade plywood..... do you remove the exterior grade plywood from the interior or is it safe to be around for extended periods of time I know they use certain chemicals to make wood exterior grade as opposed to Interior grade... Just wondering...

    • @PaulSchortemeyer
      @PaulSchortemeyer 16 дней назад

      It depends on what you mean by exterior grade. Often that refers to the quality of the finished plywood surface - whether it’s sanded smooth for cabinets and furniture ($$) or rough finish for exterior sheathing and home construction ($). As far as I know most of these use the same glue to hold the ‘plys’ of plywood together- urea formaldehyde. Probably not a great thing to breathe at any point in time (!) but particularly bad when you are cutting it and creating fine dust that’s inhaled. If you are referring to plywood used outdoors because it’s marine grade ($$$) or pressure treated - that raises a host of other issues related to the chemicals used in those. I don’t think anyone is (or should) use those in a small confined interior space. To be honest I think exposure to normal plywood is probably far less harmful than breathing in fumes off paints, carpets and whatever fabrics are made from nowadays!

      The short answer is taking many of rides and having many of things fall. I’ve pretty much bolted everything down to the walls and I’ve put some things down on the counter to stop items from slipping off the counter. The cabinets I put some custom-made cabinet locks to stop the doors from opening and things flying out. It’s a lot of trial and there pretty much.

    Enjoy watching things like this. It gives me ideas. Me and my severely disabled wheelchair bound wife have been living for over 5 years in a tiny 15 foot long camper. I made a fold out ramp for her with a matching 44 inch wide door.....extra width for when we get snow. I built a hoyer lift to get her into the bed, toilet, and her powered wheelchair. We also have a mini washing machine that we couldn't live without. Dual small sink, 5 cu ft fridge( wished it could be bigger but no room), microwave , tv , 3 burner stove with oven and small window AC.....oven door is our table when oven isn't used( most cooking is outside on fire or a portable propane 2 burner stove. Also have an awning that can but put on either side of camper( we camp in primitive sights and never know how we can park). Solar powered with 6 agm 12 volt wheelchair batteries ( rotate 2 out each year with the old ones out of her wheelchair). Only have 100 watt solar though which has worked out ok but 200 would be much better for bad weather days. Only 40 gallon fresh water which I pretty much only use to wash dishes with. We have been comfortable down to minus 10 f. Learning ways to make it work with only me doing all the work plus caring for my wife was quite challenging at first. My wife can't do even the simplest of things like feeding herself...but we survive and get to go different places and see things....far better than sitting in a house we couldn't possibly afford and doing nothing all the time.

      Well, it is definitely over the bumper. If someone in a car rear ends the truck they are going underneath the truck and they will not touch the box of the truck. That is a really good idea. It is definitely doable. It just takes time and a vision. As long as you have the vision and you can see the end goal you can build anything. You can travel this country and be rent free and stay at every truckstop in this country, and see every part of this country for just the price of fuel and insurance. Live life to the fullest and enjoy. Life is just a book right your own story. Thank you for taking your time to watch this video and to watch this channel.
