Can’t wait to see the news that some dentist’s office in who-cares-where got sued for treating patients poorly because of a protected status, blaming it on AI. Do you really expect a brain trained on the entirety of the internet to not be influenced by racism, sexism, and other kinds of bigotry? All the court needs to see is that you consistently schedule all the patents of one group further out because you didn’t allocate resources for them the same way you do for other clients. If you’re trusting the machine, you won’t even notice the correlation until it’s too late. How about you hire an actual data scientist to design a deterministic system that’ll make these calculations within the confines of the law so that you know you’re not fucking it up.

My ortho charges $400 for a set of retainers. The plastic things. The old school hard plastic and metal ones were more durable. Patient perspective - $1 of plastic for $400 is not a good deal. Lost retainers - $400. Not cool. It should be less or free from the orthodontist. If lost a pair, paying for a scan is not cool. Then the cost. I know you have to wear the retainers. My kid is the one who wore them as scheduled and then nightly. Maybe forgets when stays somewhere else, but she is totally compliant. It shows. I scared her into compliance and so did the orthodontist. Looking at it all...$6k in braces is not a good deal, but that's where it is. Cost should go down with time, but maybe more tech in the mix causes price to go up. This is for standard metal braces. That should include these disposable retainers for 5 years. I didn't pay the orthodontist scan fee or get the $400 retainers. I did join the forever club, and waiting on retainers.

Hi Dr. Len, I appreciate all the work you do and all the info you provide! As a recent college grad, I would love your opinion or a video for people considering dentistry as a career path. I am hesitant about the future of dentistry, and afraid that the “golden age” has passed. This reluctance stems from a few general trends: Decreasing average salaries and insurance reimbursements. And increasing tuition and student debt, prevalence of DSOs over private practices, overhead and expenses, and overall saturation/competitiveness. Please let me know your thoughts and thank you so much for your time and content!

This tells me a lot of deception in it. When he said Dentist taking home a million dollars afford expenses and all I was very curious how they or the patient derived "income" there. Now it makes sense this tells me allegedly even if the patient don't necessarily needs the treatment in the near future they find ways to make it seems urgent and necessary this is why I'm very cautious of people who give care. Greed is at the finest these days!! Most people don't even now some of these companies work directly with these financial institutions I noticed this a lot
