This was actually the most disappointing scene in the movie. It proved that "Bad ass" Hank had nothing to back it up with. If he had been able to outfight those 4 guys and somehow win, it would have proved he could put his money where his mouth was, and that he was not only willing, but able, to stand up for what was right and protect himself and Irene. This scene just solidified him as a loser.
I know also how Jim Carrey feels about the cigerette being thrown down. But I wouldnt do anything, I couldnt. I wouldnt want to be tasered. I havent and I wouldnt. The same with being kicked.
