No real video this week so please enjoy the following....
Out of total frustration with the Old Ford ranger I had to take a break.
I'm throwing good money at bad right now and just needed to take a break.
Should I give it away?

I was so close to being done with this Ranger and BAM!!!! This truck keeps delivering content but to be honest I'm really done with it. Sit back and enjoy my suffering. Peace Brocracks Link to a good Ranger clutch bleeding video: ruclips.net/video/91IYY_YENRw/видео.htmlsi=eOfJlgHkfTon5AAt
Another senseless Ranger video. A lot of work for stuff no one will even see.

Back on the old Ranger cleaning up the frame and some of the body panels. After I installed the bed I realized 90 percent of what I've done is not even visible. I up loaded the video anyway so people can learn what not to do when revitalizing a vehicle with little to no value in the end. lol Peace Brocracks

…gotta love it
Keep the originals, at least one of those new 8 want work right. I typed before ya video and as over.
That's a hydraulic clutch, check reservoir.
Bad slave have to pull granny it's in side bell housing happen alot
I'm glad someone (besides me) appreciates the wonderfulness of Studes.
When racing was fun. Revisited.
Check the fluid color if it’s bad change it see what happens
The secret is to take one of the rubbers off the top mount. Slide it onto the pipe piece first, then pop it back onto the top mount. Use a bit of WD40 to help things along. Z
Check the linkage and the slave cylinder.
Clutch or pressure plate done 😂fn rookie
Change the clutch fluid? And be done with it.
pump the clutch pedal several times until the slave cylinder resets and pushes the clutch fully open
Possibly have gotten some contamination on to your clutch disc and it's swollen up IE the pads that the disc is made out of is made out of biodegradable material and if it gets oil or some sort of lubricant on it it will swell up and this is usually the end result
MOTORHEADS🎉🎉
Aqua blue Star Chief
@BadDonkeyGarage it's pretty super!
Some old aren’t in thectransmisdion
All vehicles need maintenance.
Sometimes if you put light pressure on the shift lever and slowly let the clutch pedal up, it will drop into gear. Obviously this doesn’t address the underlying issue, but it does allow you to use the truck until it can be fixed.
Just saying look at that flywheel for lot of heat ( blue looking, and flatness when you remove the assembly
Welcome to ford life
@@aarongoff3914 This is something that can happen on all makes of cars
Motor off / trans in neutral. Push the clutch all the way to the floor, then with the clutch all the way down slide your foot off the clutch allowing it to slam back up. Do this a couple times and try it again.
I’m calling bad slave cylinder because this seems to be the same issue our ‘07 Ranger i4 shop truck had 🤔
Mine has this exact issue as well but it's a 2005.
I had somthing similar in a car. Intermittent but I could pump the clutch and get it to release. Turns out it was the cheaper fix. A master cylinder with a slightly worn/bent pushrod and seal issue because of it. Gave me a little air in the fluid when bleeding. Better or worse depending on outside temps too
Bad slave
Bought brand new of from advanced auto parts pulled trans replacement and it was a bad new one. Wasted all my efforts and went to O'Reilly's or AutoZone for next one fk the advanced auto parts on that deal.
I had similar issue in my 84 topaz. Turned out the clutch pedal cable wasnt fully returning. Ended up lubing it and manually moving the clutch at the tranny with a crowbar
Pump the bellhousing with water.
Do it then, maybe some liquid Swartz too @@BadDonkeyGarage
Pilot bearing and bushing. Had it on a 98 explorer with the M5OD. Do the slave while you're in there
My guess is a almost gone set of synchros or possibly a clutch or pressure plate, I’ve seen pressure plate springs become defective. When a pressure plate fails you can’t always get the clutch to release the disk like normal. Also one thing you’ll notice if you start let’s say a MT Honda civic even in neutral with the clutch released, while running with both drive wheels off the ground, they will start spinning you can stop them but they’re spinning even while those wheels are spinning. Now if you start the car and never release the clutch with the trans in neutral, then you can change gears etc… if there’s let’s say a synchro issue that at idle with nothing inside the trans moving changing gears should be no issue but when in neutral while running the main shaft inside the trans is still spinning, in a let’s say a Honda you will have at least 1st and 2nd attached to the main shaft and on the shaft that goes to the final drive gear basically same as the output shaft and on the shafts you will have selector rings that grab a smaller shaft on the gears that mesh together for each input shaft gear you have a matching output shaft gear. Now why this is important, when you have synchros that are bad or a situation where the selector gears and sleeves are bad you’ll have this happen as well. So my guess is with the trans input shaft spinning and the synchros on their way out it could cause this situation.
Air in the lines
I'm thinking that's your slave cylinder if it's a hydraulic clutch. It's just a metal tube with a plunger inside and the plunger wears out. It's piggy backing off of your brake master cylinder.
Pilot bearing is seizing up.i had the same problem.pilot not throw out
Try driving it might free up 👍
Throw out bearing/slave cylinder combo
After the trans pull I hoped you learned your lesson; don't hold the clutch in for more than a second or two, it should be in neutral or in gear all it's life.
Cease pallet shaft bearing
Dodgy thrust bearings?
Disc is sticking to the input splines of the transmission input shaft. The lube gets dry on the shaft. Trans would need to come out to clean and lube shaft. Go easy with the grease.. good luck.
I didn't think about this.i was thinking a sticky pilot bearing
Possible problem Bell housing bolts loose Stretched cable If no cable the system needs bleeding or replacement. Bad cluth or worn out throughout bearing.
@BadDonkeyGarage Is it hydro or cable controlling the clutch? I had 2 cars do this.... A 1980 rx 7 it had a bad slave And 1998 Gt 5.0, the bell housing bolts backed out. When you find out, brother, you peeked my interest. Can you share?
Check fluid. If fluid good it's most Likely slave cylinder
Is it normal to have to put it in 1st to start? Will it not start if it’s in neutral ?
@ gotcha. Good luck
